Fluidity was a long time coming for Curve Studios. The company pitched various ideas to Nintendo since its creation in 2005, but it wasn’t until the 2008 Game Developers Conference that the WiiWare project began to take shape.

Curve’s design director Jonathan Biddle told EDGE this month:

“We had this idea for a game about water. We sat down with [Nintendo] and pitched a few things, and we didn’t think they’d liked any of them; they were quite po-faced about it, probably because they’d been sat in a room for a week listening to pitch after pitch.”

Nintendo reached out to Curve a few weeks later and offered to pay the studio to develop an “experiment”. As it turns out, it wasn’t too often that Nintendo accepted pitches.

The people over at Technobubble recently had a chance to interview Nintendo of America’s Bill Trinen, and asked him about some pretty interesting subjects! Read on to hear Bill Trinen talk about all things Nintendo!

Comcept provided a brief look at a new level from Mighty No. 9 today. View it in the video above. You’ll also find a New Year’s greeting from Keiji Inafune!

This music can be heard in both North America and Europe!

We found out in late November that a pair of Tetris games were scheduled to be removed from the European 3DS eShop at the end of 2014. As soon as January 1 rolled on in, Nintendo pulled the Game Boy version of Tetris as well as Tetris Axis from the digital store.

It’s now clear that the removal of these two titles wasn’t just limited to Europe. Tetris for Game Boy as well as Tetris Axis are nowhere to be seen on the North American 3DS eShop. There was no prior warning for those living in the states, sadly!

This week’s North American Nintendo Downloads are as follows:

Wii U Virtual Console

Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire

3DS Virtual Console

Bionic Commando: Elite Forces

SEGA has no plans to bring SEGA 3D Reprints Archives to North America, as the company has stated on Twitter.

It appears us in North America won’t be able to get these classics in a physical form anytime soon. Keep in mind that you can still purchase some of these games on the eShop with digital downloads, and more are on the way in 2015.
