Update: Added European pricing.

It’s well-known that Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia offers plenty of DLC. Today, Nintendo provided new details about the extra content in the west, including an early rollout schedule. Five major DLC packs will be offered starting on May 19, adding more maps, dungeons, characters and items.

Here’s the breakdown of DLC:

On the latest episode of Denjin Getcha, Bandai Namco’s 3DS game Pro Yakyuu Famista Climax was featured. The full recording with footage is posted below.

The Japanese Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia updated this week with news about additional DLC. Series 2, known as “Heroes’ Challenge”, is out now along with the free “Goddess’s Gift 3” which provides a rare Taurus shard and 5 shiny Golden Marks. As for Series 3, that’s planned for May 24.

Thanks to Serenes Forest, we have the full details on both waves of new DLC. Get the information below.

In order to celebrate the release of the Guardians Rising TCG set, several stores in Europe will start to distribute a special Lycanroc in its Midnight Form for Pokémon Sun & Moon.

In the UK and Spain it will be distruted by GAME stores from May 5th, while at the same date Gamestop will do the same in Italy. According to Serebii.net, Micromania will be in charge of the distribution in France from May 13th to June 12th.

This information comes from Nintendo president Tatsumi Kimishima, as stated during the company’s financial results briefing Q&A…

With regards to our Nintendo 3DS business, our software sales figures in the last fiscal year were boosted significantly by titles, such as Pokémon titles, which helped increase hardware sales, and led to an overall year over year growth in sales of both hardware and software. And as discussed during our presentation, high demand for Nintendo 2DS is driven by an attractive price point on top of its hardware appeal. This is what gives Nintendo 2DS the largest growth rate out of the entirety of our Nintendo 3DS business.

We are planning to launch New Nintendo 2DS XL during this fiscal year. New Nintendo 2DS XL has screens that are the same large size as the New Nintendo 3DS XL, and can play more than 1000 Nintendo 3DS titles already released, at a very desirable price point. Our expectation is that if we are able to continue to provide enjoyable software, we will always meet the needs of consumers who want to continue playing on the existing Nintendo 3DS series. To that end, we are always thinking about what kinds of software consumers are going to want, and evaluating our hardware cycles to
make sure that we are meeting that need.

It feels like we’re getting a new feature reveal for Dragon Quest XI pretty much every week, and this week is no exception. This week’s Jump magazine has revealed the new “Zone” feature, which, among other things, allows the use of powerful co-op skills (thanks Siliconera for the translation).

We’ve actually seen the “Zone” feature briefly before in some screenshots. When the protagonist glows with a blue aura during battle, that’s the sign on him activating Zone. Not only do his stats temporarily increase, it also allows you to use powerful co-op skills – techniques in which the hero and one or more party members combine their powers to unleash a powerful attack. Jump magazine list three examples of co-op skills:

  • Falcon Dance: the hero and Camus dance around an enemy, repeatedly attacking it with swift sword strikes
  • Rose Hurricane: the hero, Sylvia and Row combine their magic powers and Sylvia’s love to unleash a powerful whirlwind
  • Giga Burst: all party members team up and gather their powers in the hero’s sword, who delivers a devastating strike

However, players aren’t the only ones who can use this power – some enemies are also able to use “Zone” and co-op skills.
