We haven’t heard much about Mario Sports Superstars since its announcement during the September Nintendo Direct. However, a few details were included in this month’s Game Informer, and now we know even more about the game. Nintendo put up a fact sheet on its website which goes a bit more in-depth.

The first thing mentioned is that you’ll be able to “hone skills in training”. In other words, a training mode should be included. The same paragraph also mentions that you can “pick Mario, Waluigi, or one of sixteen others”, meaning there should be 18 playable characters.

Moving onto the sports themselves, we have actual information as to how the horse racing will play out. You’ll build a stable of horses, then train them before moving on to actual races. In-field shifts will be a part of baseball while soccer will let you change your team’s formation.

Continue on below for the full fact sheet.

Translating Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns is no simple task for XSEED Games. The title has two million characters – more than any game before it in the series. The last Story of Seasons title contained 1.7 million characters by comparison.

That’s just one tidbit of information from XSEED’s first localization blog on Trio of Towns. Hit up the full thing here for insight into how the publisher is approaching the translation process, overviews of the towns, and more.

Capcom has unveiled a 3DS theme that will feature a crossover between Megami Meguri and Puyo Puyo Chronicle. While there’s no release date yet, it’s interesting to see Capcom and SEGA working together in a new way.

That’s not actually all of the Megami Meguri crossover news. The game will feature costumes based on various franchises, including Hatsune Miku. Famitsu published images of the various costumes here.

Super Mario Run is less than a week away from debuting on iOS. To celebrate, Nintendo has a couple of activities going on with the StreetPass Mii Plaza.

In North America, Takashi Tezuka is appearing as a visitor if you have SpotPass enabled. Over in the UK, Shigeru Miyamoto’s Mii can be found at Nintendo Zone found within GAME stores between December 9 and December 26. Tezuka will then follow between December 27 and January 15. There’s a good chance that Miyamoto’s Mii will stop by in North America as well.
