Hoopa Unbound officially shown in CoroCoro

Not too long after Pokémon’s sixth generation, Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, released back in 2013, fans who are also modders/hackers wasted no time trying to data mine what they could from the new entries into the series. They did not come out empty handed. One of the Pokémon revealed when all of this went down? Hoopa.
Though at the time it was simply its normal form we knew about (also known as Hoopa Confined), it wasn’t until the third generation remakes came along where we found out that Hoopa could transform into a much more powerful version of itself – Hoopa Unbound.
Fast-forward years later to January 2015 when CoroCoro officially revealed Pokémon #720 from its February 2015 issue, also listing that it’d be starring in its own movie, The Archdjinni of the Rings: Hoopa, slated for release this July in Japan.
Hit that fast-forward button one more time to today, where CoroCoro officially revealed its Unbound form that we’ve known about for a while now. Hoopa Unbound is VERY powerful, let it be known. How Hoopa Unbound works is once you’ve obtained the Prison Bottle – which is obtainable simply by walking into a PokéMart with Hoopa in your party – have Hoopa hold it, and watch the magic happen in battle as it transforms into its Unbound form. After three days, it will revert back to its confined form. If you can’t wait three days, simply drop it in the PC and it’ll be back to good ol’ Confined Hoopa.
I’ve used Hoopa Unbound, and it’s legitimately terrifying what it’s capable of. Its signature move is Hyperspace Fury, which is just as mental as it sounds. Being both Psychic and Dark type, the only types Hoopa’s Unbound form is weak against are Bug and Fairy. You guys better start training your Klefki’s and Wurmple’s to put up with this one.

There are two big topics that receive the focus in this week’s Just a Chat: Level-5’s Vision event – which had plenty of 3DS announcements – and LEGO Dimensions. Aside from that, Daan and I discuss the latest Xenoblade Chronicles X presentation, lack of voice chat in Splatoon, and this week’s “Let’s Talk” topic.

Xenoblade devs on the New 3DS port, why it’s not on Wii U, Xenoblade Chronicles X “will have a different play feel”
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS, News, Wii, Wii U | 12 Comments
GameSpot was able to submit a few questions to the developers behind Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. That includes Monolith Soft’s Testuya Takahashi, representatives from Monster Games, and representatives from Nintendo SPD.
Most of the interview topics were naturally about the New 3DS title, including the technical challenges behind the project and how Monster Games initially tried bringing it to the original 3DS. There were also questions about the decision to port Xenoblade Chronicles to the New 3DS as opposed to remastering the title for Wii U, and what fans can expect from Xenoblade Chronicles X.
Head on below for the full Q&A roundup. You can also check out GameSpot’s piece here.

Capcom began designing Monster Hunter Stories about five years ago
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 4 Comments
Monster Hunter Stories has been a long time coming from Capcom. In a message from series producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, he reveals that the company began designing the game roughly five years ago.
Tsujimoto said:
After having passed the 10th anniversary last year, this is a new challenge for the Monster Hunter series, that we’ve began designing since about five years ago. While staying true to the world of Monster Hunter, and a story that can only be told through an RPG, we’d like to pack it with fun and enjoyment that we can’t even begin to describe with words. It is still in the middle of development, we’d like to offer you a new kind of excitement that is different from the conventional series, and the development staff are working on it in full-spirit.
Along with the above comments, Tsujimoto said Monster Hunter Stories will allow players to become “Riders” instead of Hunters. The RPG will tell the tale between the Riders and monsters.
