Play-Asia’s Metallic Blue New 3DS XL NA listing may have been for regions like Singapore and Malaysia

Last month, Play-Asia posted a listing on its website which indicated that the Metallic Blue New 3DS XL might be coming to North America this month. New information has since come to light which may shed more light on the situation.

The thought right now is that Play-Asia could have been referring to the Metallic Blue’s launch in countries like Singapore and Malaysia. North American 3DS games and eShop downloads are compatible with systems from these territories.

Technically, a Metallic Blue New 3DS XL release in North America hasn’t been officially ruled out. But if there are plans to launch the color variation in the U.S. this month, Nintendo would need to make an announcement pretty soon.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth New 3DS update causing crashing issues

The New 3DS version of The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth suffered from some issues at launch. For example, users encountered invisible enemies and music that randomly stopped playing.

It’s true that The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth did recently get an update on New 3DS to address the game’s technical bugs. Unfortunately, however, a new and major problem has cropped up. We’re hearing that a glitch was added with the latest update that crashes the game and forces players to reboot their system every few minutes. Let’s hope Nicalis comes out with another patch soon!

Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon New 3DS cover plate heading to Japan in September

The New 3DS is getting a cover plate based on Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon. Today, the above model was announced for Japan, and it’s due out on September 17 for 2,000 yen. We’ll let you know if an announcement is eventually made for Europe.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has received its first update on New 3DS. Primarily, this should be a patch for various bugs.

The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth creator Edmund McMillen shared today’s update news on Twitter, writing:

99% sure the update for rebirth 3ds is live now, but you may need to manually update for some reason.
