[Let’s Talk] What do you want to see from Pokemon Scarlet / Violet?

For Pokemon Day back in February, Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet were announced for Switch. Only a few details have been revealed thus far, including the starters: Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. The games are also said to have “an open world where various towns with no borders blend seamlessly into the wilderness.”
If Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet see the series’ traditional marketing cycle, there’s a good chance that we’ll be getting new information soon. And if that’s the case, it’s the perfect time to talk about what you’d like to see from the new titles. Are there any types of features you’re hoping will be in the games? Not too long ago, Triangle Strategy producers Tomoya Asano and Yasuaki Arai sat down with Japanese website 4Gamer to share some insights from their time making Square Enix’s latest Switch title.
The highly praised HD-2D art style made a return, and the pair talked about the challenges the team faced to make it work in a tactical RPG. Turn-based RPGs like Octopath Traveler, another game to make use of HD-2D, operate with a fixed camera. However, Triangle Strategy offered a fresh set of challenges to overcome thanks to the more expansive map designs in a tactical RPG.

Original (5/26): JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R has a release date on Switch. Today, Bandai Namco confirmed that the fighter will be available on September 2, 2022.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R was announced back in March. As part of the initial reveal, it was given a vague Fall 2022 release window.
Doctor Who: Duo Bundle Switch physical release revealed

Doctor Who: Duo Bundle will be sold at retail as a new Switch physical release, it’s been revealed.
The package contains Doctor Who: The Edge of Reality – Deluxe Edition and Doctor Who: The Lonely Assassins, both of which were previously added to the eShop. Fans will also be provided with an exclusive sticker sheet.
Splatoon 3 introduces Front Roe

Nintendo has introduced another band for Splatoon 3: Front Roe. The Big N describes them as “melodious” and having a “punkish sound of rock”, noting that they’ve “been swimming up the charts in Splatsville lately.”

Dungeon Village 2 launching on Switch next week

Kairosoft is gearing up for another Switch release, as the company has announced that Dungeon Village 2 will be appearing on the eShop next week. You’ll be able to pick it up starting June 2, 2022.
The original Dungeon Village made it to Switch back in 2018.
