Super Mario Run update out now (version 3.0.12)

Super Mario Run has received its latest update. As of today, version 3.0.12 is available for download.
Those looking for new content will unfortunately be disappointed. Nintendo has implemented bug fixes, and that pretty much seems to be it. The update is a 196.4MB download.

The Octopath Traveler remix album “Octopath Traveler Arrangements – Break & Boost” will be released in Japan next month, on February 20th. Today, Square Enix released a promotional video for the soundtrack album, showing the recording process as well as composer Yasunori Nishiki talking about the album. Even if you don’t speak Japanese, the video is well worth the watch since it also features a couple of previews of the remixed songs:

Nippon Ichi has opened a teaser site for their recently released title Murder Detective Jack the Ripper, while also sharing some more initial details.
Coming from the Amazon listings for the game, more information on the game’s premise, characters, and gameplay has been shared and fully translated by Gematsu.

Fire Emblem Heroes – Mothers and Sons Voting Gauntlet begins January 31, Summoning Focuses now live

Nintendo has confirmed the theme of the 20th and next Voting gauntlet in Fire Emblem Heroes, titled “Mothers and Sons”.
As one would expect, the competition this time around will begin by having certain mother characters of the series facing off against their canonical sons.The event will begin on January 31st and run until February 6th, with each of the three rounds lasting two days.
Falling in line with previous installments, two new Summoning Focuses are now available that feature the characters involved. The “Voting Gauntlet Mothers” set will focus on Cherche, Lissa, and Mikoto, while “Voting Gauntlet Sons” will highlight Leif, Owain, and male Corrin.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp – free best-friend confection coming as part of Valentine’s Day celebration

In celebration of Valentine’s Day this upcoming month, players of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp will be receiving a free best-friend confection to give to a special Animal in their camp.
At this time, it is unknown when this gift will be given to players or how long it will be available for. Users will want to be very selective with who they give heir confection to, as there will only be one.

Humble Store “looking into the future possibility of bringing in more countries” for selling Nintendo games

Earlier this month, Humble started selling codes for digital Nintendo titles on its store for the first time. Switch and 3DS owners have another way of purchasing games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and Pokemon Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon.
There’s just one downside to Humble’s partnership with Nintendo. Unfortunately, only those in the United States can purchase from the store. The one bright spot? The opportunity could be expanding in the future.
During a recent Humble Bundle live stream, it was stated that the team is “looking into the future possibility of bringing in more countries”. It was reiterated right after, “Don’t worry, we’re looking into it for you guys.” If we happen to hear any news about this in the future, we’ll let you know.
