Pokemon president on the decision to have the Let’s Go games based on Pokemon Yellow

Pokemon CEO and president Tsunekazu Ishihara has explained why the new Let’s Go games are based on the Game Boy classic Pokemon Yellow.
In an interview with Famitsu in one of its recent issues, Ishihara mentioned that they wanted to expand the idea of walking around with a partner Pokemon, which was featured in Pokemon GO. Pikachu can also be seen with Ash in the anime, while Eevee has been popular since it can evolve in various ways.
West of Loathing dev “thrilled” with initial Switch sales

West of Loathing is one of the latest games to have reached Switch after it initially released on PC. Thus far, things have been going well.
According to producer Kevin Simmons, the West of Loathing’s Switch version sold roughly a third as it did on Steam. Simmons added that the team is “thrilled” and feels that “those are great numbers for a goofy stick-figure cowboy comedy game.”
West of Loathing is currently available on Switch via the eShop.

Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda: Breath of the Wild among 2018 Teen Choice Awards nominees for best game

The Teen Choice Awards have been going strong for nearly two decades. Fans are able to make their voices heard across a number of different entertainment categories, including TV shows, movies, and video games.
For this year’s show, a few Nintendo-related titles have been nominated under the “Choice Videogame” category. Two hit games in Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey are included.
Reggie says multiplayer is a key aspect of Switch, but will still have “wonderful single-player experiences”

Switch was practically built with multiplayer in mind. The Joy-Con themselves can be detached from the main unit so that they can be shared with another person, allowing for gaming sessions with friends anywhere.
Nintendo has also put out quite a few multiplayer-focused Switch games over the past year or so. We’ve seen the likes of ARMS, Splatoon 2, and Mario Tennis Aces with Super Mario Party and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to follow later in the year.

Super Mario Run – Friendly Run Event has started

Super Mario Run is hosting another one of its usual events. Friendly Run is here, lasting until July 6.
During Friendly Run, you can earn Rally Tickets regardless of whether you win or lose. Tickets can in turn be used for Toad Rally or Remix 10.

Nintendo is teasing new character additions for Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp once again. On its Japanese Twitter account, the image above was posted, showing silhouettes of villagers who will be available soon.
