Today’s Animal Crossing Direct will begin an hour from now (7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe). We have the North American, European, and Japanese broadcasts below. We’ll also be maintaining a live blog after the break.

The presentation will be mostly focused on Animal Crossing: New Leaf. However, in the Japanese version, Nintendo will have something to say about Miitopia as well.

Nintendo Network

Nintendo has penciled in maintenance for 3DS in about a week’s time. Certain network services such as online play, rankings, etc. may be impacted.

The schedule for maintenance is as follows:

– 4:50 PM PT (November 8) – 6:30 PM PT (November 8)
– 7:50 PM ET (November 8) – 9:30 PM ET (November 8)
– 12:50 AM in the UK (November 9) – 2:30 AM in the UK (November 9)
– 1:50 AM in Europe (November 9) – 3:30 AM in Europe (November 9)

Yesterday, Eurogamer wrote up a report stating that Wii U production will be wrapping up by the end of the week. Now, however, Nintendo has come out stating that there are no such plans.

“There is no change to our continuing [Wii U] production,” a spokesperson told Japanese outlet IT Media. While the representative started out by saying he/she was unaware of the article’s specifics, speculation about Wii U production ending “was not true.”

Miitomo’s latest update brings back another set of Miitomo Drop items, “Dress to impurress! Cat Style”. By using coins or game tickets, players can get their paws on the following items:

– Tiny kitty cap
– Cat-ear headband
– Striped kitty muffler
– Cat-faced stockings
– Cat hood w/ muffler
– Cat-paw dress shirt
