[Review] Paper Mario: Color Splash

System: Wii U
Release date: October 7, 2016
Developer: Intelligent Systems
Publisher Nintendo
To a certain degree, Paper Mario might just be the most popular spin-off series that the overall Mario franchise has spawned. What Paper Mario lacks in number of titles, it more than compensates with its fleshed out and devastatingly charismatic worlds – for the most part. Home to some of Nintendo fans’ favorite titles, it’s no understatement to say this collection of games might just be one of the best the big N continues to put out, which is why it so confusing they haven’t been treating it that way. With a more than all over the place prequel on 3DS, Color Splash brings this series back to the home console, and hopes to right the wrongs Sticker Star caused. Now, despite looking, feeling, and sounding just like Sticker Star 2, rest easy, because Paper Mario: Color Splash is anything but.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night dev partners with 505 Games
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 3 Comments
The developers of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night are indeed working with a publisher, but not with Deep Silver as previously thought. 505 Games is being brought in to assist the team as work on the project kicks into full gear. The company will also be able to handle the publishing-side of things.
Creator Koji Igarashi explained the move in a new video shared by 505:
“For our development of Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, 505 Games will be working with us. Although we have started this project through Kickstarter, we wanted more people to play now that we are in full production. However, we believe this isn’t possible with our power alone. We are so grateful that a publisher with a vast marketing power such as 505 Games will be working with our small production team. Now that we cannot let everyone down, let’s work harder to develop Bloodstained together.”

Zelda: Wind Waker Easter egg lets you defeat one of the bosses right away with an unconventional item

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Forest Water is primarily used to heal Withered Forest Trees during an early part of the game. However, YouTube user Fish_waffle64 recently came across another usage: to essentially kill one of the game’s bosses instantly.
The Kalle Demos boss fight is normally a battle that would take the average player several minutes to complete. But if you use the Forest Water after exposing its core with the boomerang, it’ll go down right away.
Here’s a look:
What’s amazing about this is that the Easter egg works in the original Wind Waker on GameCube as well as the HD version on Wii U. That means, technically, the opportunity for it to be spread widely online has been there for years. It doesn’t really seem like something that’s really been publicized though!
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

In November, Nintendo will be releasing a new color scheme for the 2DS across North America. The old look featured a black front with red/blue on the sides. However, in what Nintendo says was an “incident” caused by Luigi, the new look is red/blue on the front and black on the sides. Like other 2DS systems, it’ll cost $80.
Nintendo’s quirky announcement about the color scheme along with the full announcement is attached below.

Super Destronaut 2: Go Duck Yourself is coming on October 20 (NA and EU) and it will be my final Wii U release. #gamedev #indiedev pic.twitter.com/H4sf3ozwTJ
— Petite Games (@PetiteGames) October 4, 2016
Original (9/28): Super Destronaut 2: Go Duck Yourself, which we first heard about in April, will be added to the Wii U eShop next month. In North America, it’s now confirmed for October 20 with a $1.99 price point.
Super Destronaut 2 is an arcade space shooter that may remind you of Space Invaders. Here’s a brief description of the game:
“Collect power-ups to increase your firepower and multiplier coins to reach unbeatable high scores. Shoot those alien butts in Classic, Time Attack, Hardcore or Invaders mode and challenge your friends in Multiplayer mode. If you like classic arcade shooters or ducks, you will love Super Destronaut 2: Go Duck Yourself. PS: Don’t hurt the duck!”
Since Super Destronaut 2 is already approved in Europe, it’ll be out in PAL regions soon as well.
