Medabots Girl Mission was announced this week and is already confirmed for its Japanese launch in March. Meanwhile, Medabots 9 just came out last month. You can get an extensive look at the game below.

Genei Ibun Roku #FE just launched in Japan a couple of weeks ago. Famitsu reviewed the RPG a bit before release, giving it an “8”, “9”, “9”, and “8” from four different editors.

Since it’s going to be awhile before Genei Ibun Roku #FE heads west, we’ve translated Famitsu’s full review to give you an idea about its reception in Japan thus far – at least from one publication. Continue on below to read it in full.

The 16th annual Game Developers Choice Awards will be held in March. Today, the nominees across a number of different categories were announced.

Two Nintendo games in particular received nominations: Splatoon and Super Mario Maker. Neither one is up for Game of the Year, but are being considered for the likes of “Innovation Award”, “Best Design”, and “Best Visual Art”. Head past the break for the full listing of nominees.

Splatoon hasn’t slowed down with its regular weapon additions. Another one has now been added to the game’s lineup: Sloshing Machine Neo. You can find some footage of the weapon in our post here.

With the arrival of the Shovel Knight amiibo, the game itself has received an update. Version 2.2 is out now in North America on both Wii U and 3DS. It’s not yet available in Europe, but Yacht Club Games says it “should be rolling out to systems within the next week.”


Shovel Knight’s 2.2 patch also encompasses the 2.1 update, which adds amiibo support. Europe has had access to 2.1 since December while North America has been at 2.0 until today. You can find the notes for the two latest updates after the break.

Splatoon’s next North American Splatfest has been announced for next weekend. Players are asked if they’d prefer to travel to the past or the future.

Nintendo hasn’t listed a start time, but the Splatfest should begin on January 15 at 9 PM ET / January 16 at 12 AM ET. The results will be posted soon after its conclusion.
