Having trouble locating Rune Factory 4 in stores? There’s a reason for that: the game has been selling quite well.

On Facebook, XSEED mentioned that Rune Factory 4 has sold “well beyond” the publisher’s expectations – so much so that it’s been tough to find a physical copy. XSEED is now working on restocking product “as quickly as possible”. More copies should arrive “soon”.

Polygon has published a new feature with additional details about Sonic Boom, as well as commentary from Sonic game designer Takashi Iizuka, Sega of America producer Stephen Frost, and Big Red Button’s Bob Rafei. Since Skylanders made its debut, the series has grossed over $2 billion worldwide for Activision. That figure is as of December 31 of last year. According to Activision, roughly 175 million Skylanders toys have also been sold.

So this is a bit unexpected. We’ve seen Sonic Boom before, even though we didn’t know it. The game’s environments were showcased as part of a CryEngine 3 GDC 2013 video, which went live last March. I don’t think many would have predicted that Big Red Button was giving a look at its new Sonic game at the time!

Fujiwara Takumi:

– Main protagonist of the show

Sonic Boom site open

SEGA has opened the official site for Sonic Boom. Access it here. You can find content concerning the upcoming game, TV show, and merchandise.

Thanks to Tytygh for the tip.

Sonic Boom doesn’t sound like it’s been put together sloppily. On its website, Big Red Button Entertainment states that the Wii U title has been in the works for two years.
