Switch

Bandai Namco is bringing Mr. Driller back in about a month. Mr. Driller DrillLand, a GameCube title that never left Japan, will now be seeing a worldwide release on Switch.

At least in North America and Europe, the game appears to be digital-only. In Japan, however, the situation is different. It’s confirmed to be receiving a physical version in the region.

The Outer Worlds

The Outer Worlds will make use of optional gyro controls, Obsidian has confirmed to Nintendo Everything.

Production director Eric DeMilt told us that much time was spent on “tuning controls to help with playability on the Switch.” The team “tuned sensitivity, exposed some inputs to users in the settings menu, tweaked and iterated aim assist values and added support for gyro aiming, and sticky targeting.”

May is almost over, which means that the bugs and fish for the month will soon be swapped out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Players have just a couple of days remaining until they’re swapped out.

Thanks to Polygon, we have a pair of charts showing which bugs and fish are leaving at the end of May. There are two versions since things will differ depending on whether you’re in the northern or southern hemisphere.

Mother Russia Bleeds has been on the Switch eShop since November 2018. Now, however, a physical version will be happening.

The game itself is the same, though you’ll be getting different boxart depending on who you go with. Special Reserve Games will be including unspecified collectibles.

Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition

If you picked up the new special edition for Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition, you’ll have access to a beautiful 250-page art book. That book showcases designs for characters, enemies, locations and more.

Right at the beginning, there’s a lengthy message from executive director Tetsuya Takahashi. Takahashi reflected on revamping the game following its debut ten years ago on Wii. Additionally, he goes briefly into the new Future Connected scenario, and again stresses: “The events that take place and the words spoken by the characters in Future Connected are linked to the future of Xenoblade Chronicles itself.”

Here’s the full message from Takahashi:

Later in 2020, players will be able to get their hands on the Creeping Winter DLC. No information has been shared about its contents at this time.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid

Power Rangers: Battle For The Grid is currently available on Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam. Stadia will soon be joining the mix as well. That means that in the very near future, this will be the first fighting game to support cross-play across five platforms.
