Super Monkey Ball finally returned on Switch and other platforms with a redone version of Banana Blitz HD. If all goes well with that game – and specifically if there’s support from the fans – the series could continue on. Director and producer Masao Shirosaki told Crunchyroll that remasters of the series’ first two entries as well as an entirely new title are potential options.

Shirosaki said:

Shovel Knight has been on just about every platform you can imagine. That includes Switch, a system that Nintendo came out with long after the game’s release. Despite that, it’s been doing pretty well on the platform.

During an interview with Destructoid, Yacht Club Games’ Sean Velasco and David D’Angelo mentioned that Switch accounts for “25% of total sales on all platforms,” which the team feels is “wild”. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove is said to be selling “decently” on all platforms overall.

My Hero One's Justice 2

The Japanese website for My Hero One’s Justice 2 has updated with some technical information. When docked, the game will run at 1080p. The resolution lowers to the natural 720p resolution in portable mode. Finally, frame rate is expected to be 30 FPS.

This is mostly similar to the first My Hero One’s Justice. However, in the original game, resolution would max out at 720p regardless of play mode.

Civilization VI

Update: 2K says it’s working on a fix and has a workaround (see below).

Original: Civilization VI’s latest update appears to be causing major issues on Switch. Due to a bug, players have reported that the game is crashing just as they’re about to win a game. It doesn’t appear to be limited to a small subset of users and is happening regularly.

2K Games has yet to comment on the situation nor is there any word on any imminent patch to address these problems. If we do receive a status update, we’ll be sure to let you know.
