Splatoon 2 US & Canada Inkling Open finals live stream

The finals for the Splatoon 2 US & Canada Inkling Open will be kicking off not too far from now. Nintendo’s live stream will begin at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM in the UK / 5 PM in Europe.
You can watch the competition as it happens below. The winning team will go on to compete at the Splatoon 2 World Championship at E3 2018.

SEGA delivered plenty of Sonic Mania Plus news this week. The big announcement is the release date of July 17, and the first official trailer was shared online.
Japanese magazine Famitsu also had its own coverage of Sonic Mania Plus this week. In a two-page feature, an interview was published with Sonic Team boss Takashi Iizuka. Iizuka was asked about how Sonic Mania Plus came to be, including Ray and Mighty, and more.

At Niconico Chokaigi 2018 earlier today, Off the Hook stopped by for a new concert. While we don’t have the full recording just yet, we do have the song “Nasty Majesty” that was performed for the first time. This was the music that played during the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion trailer. If you’re interested, you can watch that part of the concert below.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night reveals its quest system, change for the retro mini-game

The Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has posted a new April update, largely written by producer Koji Igarashi. Igarashi introduces the game’s quest system and provides an update on the retro mini-game.
Back when Bloodstained was funded on Kickstarter, the prequel mini-game was unlocked as a stretch goal. Now, however, “take place in a different part of the lore.”

In its latest issue, Nintendo Dream posted a Kirby Star Allies developer interview. Shinya Kumazaki, the game’s general director, had a lengthy chat with the Japanese magazine.
Kumazaki spoke about the game’s title, selecting new and returning Copy Abilities, and bringing back Pon & Con. You can find that and more in our translation below.
