Team17 looking into a way for friends to connect more easily online in Worms W.M.D
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 11 Comments
Worms W.M.D arrived on Switch this past week. Different multiplayer options are included in the game, such as local play and online support.
The one downside with online play is that it isn’t really easy to connect for friends. It’s true that you can find other players in lobbies. However, directly inviting friends isn’t possible, which Team17 partially attributed to Switch’s lack of system-wide invite feature.

20% of L.A. Noire’s debut sales in the UK were on Switch

One of the new games that entered the UK charts this past week was L.A. Noire. In terms of individual formats, the Switch version came in at #36. It was also #6 on the Switch-specific chart.
Additional data reveals the sales split for all versions of L.A. Noire. On Switch, 20% of all copies were sold. PS4 took the top share with 51%, followed by Xbox One with 26%.
What can we make of these numbers? Well, Switch wasn’t terribly behind Xbox One’s share. With a lower installed base, perhaps it’s not a terrible debut.

[Review] Rocket League
Posted on 6 years ago by Dennis Gagliardotto(@LyonHart_) in Reviews, Switch | 2 Comments
System: Switch
Release date: November 14, 2017
Developer: Psyonix / Panic Button
Publisher: Psyonix
Rocket League has seen tremendous growth in popularity and players over the past few years since its original release, and also now cements itself as one of the largest eSports franchises in the world. At the same time, it remains easy to pick up and play for the casual gamer to enjoy. Although we’ve seen a surge in online multiplayer titles for quite awhile now, Rocket League maintains a dedicated and respectful consumer base thanks to its low cost of entry, hours of fun, and, most importantly, no pay-to-win nonsense. The cars won’t run faster, but having something like the Batmobile will definitely make you look cooler than most out on the field (besides the incredible Metroid car, of course).

Lost Sphear not a Square Enix store exclusive in Europe
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Switch | 3 Comments
Unlike I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphear will be sold physically in North America and Europe. There was a catch when Square Enix announced the game, however. It seemed as though the physical version would be exclusive to the company’s store. Or so we thought.
We started to notice this last week, but it looks like Lost Sphear will be sold on Amazon in Europe. We first spotted a listing on Amazon UK. Amazon Germany and Amazon France have listings now as well.
As for North America, well… we might be out of luck there. So far there aren’t any signs of Lost Sphear being available anywhere else other than Square Enix’s online store. But if you absolutely don’t want to deal with that site, importing from Amazon’s European outlets should be an option.

[Let’s Talk] Favorite kingdoms in Super Mario Odyssey
Posted on 6 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in Let's Talk, Switch | 22 Comments
It’s crazy to think about, but Super Mario Odyssey has already been around for a month. At this point, many of you have likely completed the game – or at least reached the ending. That probably means you’ve seen a good chunk of what the game has to offer when it comes to kingdoms.
Kingdoms are obviously a huge part of Super Mario Odyssey. Each area is very distinct and has its own challenges. Some are big, a couple are small, and others fall right in the middle.
Out of the kingdoms you’ve traveled to thus far, which ones are you favorite? And on the opposite end of the spectrum, are there any that you’re not a fan of in particular? Let us know how you feel below. If you’re reading other comments, be warned that there may be possible spoilers.
