These days most gamers are focusing on Switch when it comes to Nintendo platforms, but Nintendo Everything reader TruExtent has tipped us off about an interesting Capcom eShop sale for the Wii U and 3DS eShops.
On the Wii U side of things, something we haven’t really seen before is Capcom slashing the prices of its Wii “Virtual Console” releases. As it turns out though, right now you can save big on titles such as Zack & Wiki. The typical games like Monster Hunter and Ace Attorney are on sale for 3DS as well.

Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards just debuted on Nintendo Switch Online, and we now have a look at how this version compares to the N64 original and Wii U Virtual Console release courtesy of GameXplain. Switch vs. N64 is shown first, followed by Switch vs. Wii U.
Like all Nintendo Switch Online classics, Kirby 64 now has the highest resolution possible. And while Wii U made things darker, the brightness is more true to the original on Switch.

The time has almost come for major changes on the 3DS and Wii U eShops, as both stores will be ending support for credit cards in just a few days.
Back in February, Nintendo announced that it will be ending digital purchases on the two systems next March. As part of that, a few different steps are planned. The first step is that as of May 23, 2022, users will no longer be able to use a credit card to add funds to an account. Then on August 29, it will no longer be possible to use an eShop card to add funds. Download codes can still be redeemed until late March 2023.

It’s clear that Mario Golf produces the clearest image on Switch. For one thing, the resolution the highest. The action was also much darker for the Wii U Virtual Console release, which has been fixed this time around.
[Let’s Talk] Your top Wii U and 3DS eShop picks

One of the big pieces of Nintendo news this week concerns the eShop, as in one way, the digital store will be ending on both Wii U and 3DS. Starting in late March 2023, it will be closing down for business on these platforms. New purchases will no longer be possible.
Many Wii U and 3DS games have made their way over to Switch, but a ton have also stayed behind. That means a lot of hidden gems will be left behind without a way for new players to get their hands on them once March 2023 rolls by.
With that in mind, we want to hear about some of your top picks that you’d suggest Wii U and 3DS owners should pick up. Are there any particular games you feel flew under the radar? Let us know in the comments below.
