Ubisoft says they have Watch_Dogs on the way to Wii U in response to question about future support for the console
Posted on 11 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in General Gaming, News, Wii U | 5 Comments
“Ubisoft has a long-standing relationship with Nintendo. Most recently this has been reinforced by our varied and high-quality line-up for Wii U, with big titles including Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Just Dance 2014, Rayman Legends, Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist already released and Watch Dogs on the way.”
– Ubisoft representative
The above doesn’t seem indicative of either a lack of support or a plethora of it coming forward– it’s just a standard PR response with very little going on under the hood.

Suda51 says his games are possible for Nintendo platforms, Big N is “always very important to us”
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 5 Comments
Suda51’s games haven’t been on Nintendo platforms in recent years. We did see Liberation Maiden on 3DS, but that’s about it. Suda51 hasn’t put out any of his games on Wii U.
But what about the future? Suda51 did say “it’s a possibility” that his future titles will appear on Nintendo platforms while speaking with ExpansiveDLC. He also said the Big N is “always very important to us.”
Yeah of course, it’s a possibility. I guess we haven’t really announced anything yet for Wii U, but for 3DS we had Liberation Maiden.. consoles from Nintendo are always very important to us.
I still remember how, years ago, Suda51 was talking about bringing a new No More Heroes to Nintendo’s next-gen console. Wii U has been around for a year already – make it happen!

October 2013 NPD: rough hardware estimates
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U | 2 Comments
NPD never hands out hardware data these days, meaning we usually have to rely on leaks and estimates in order to find out how well systems perform each month. Thankfully, NeoGAF user “creamsugar” has come through with a decent overview of October’s sales in the US.
Here’s a general estimate provided by creamsugar’s leak:
PSV < 30k < Wii < 40k < 50k < Wii U < 60k < 100k < PS3 < 120k This figure suggests that the Wii U managed to outsell the Wii, which the console has had a tough time doing most of the year. Wii U apparently sold between 50,000 and 60,000 units while the Wii moved between 30,000 and 40,000 consoles. Source
