During a panel at GDC today, Nintendo showed off a 2D prototype used to test ideas for Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Someone has since put up a clip on YouTube showing the tool in action. Check it out below.

At Epic Games’ GDC press conference today, a pre-recorded video aired from Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. Reggie spoke about Switch’s support of Unreal Engine 4, and how the compatibility between the two allows for new developers to make “high-quality” games for Nintendo’s new platform. for The full clip is attached below.

Nintendo has posted a video that finally gives us a look at the eShop on Switch. It shows the merging of Wii U and 3DS eShop funds, and confirms that you’ll be able to download games in sleep mode.

The full recording for this week’s Capcom TV is now available. Ultra Street Fighter II and Monster Hunter XX were both showcased.

For Ultra Street Fighter II, Capcom confirmed that touch controls are in. Buttons are naturally available, but it’s also possible to perform moves by touching the different areas of the Switch screen.

Fire Emblem and Ghosts ‘n Goblins collaborations were announced for Monster Hunter XX, but they seem to be pretty much the same as the ones offered in the English Generations release.

It was assumed that Nicalis was teasing Hydra (or Hydra Castle Labyrinth) for Switch last month after the company tweeted out an image of the game on the system’s home screen. Now that’s been officially confirmed.

Nicalis’ Tyrone Rodriguez showed Hydra running on Switch during a Polygon live stream yesterday. Additionally, the first gameplay of 1001 Spikes and Cave Story debuted as well. Check out the recording below.

Square Enix prepared a special video to promote the launch of Dragon Quest Heroes I-II in Japan. View the new video below.

In other news, Square Enix has announced that a demo for Dragon Quest Heroes I-II will be up on the Japanese Switch eShop on Friday. This was confirmed during the game’s live stream held just a short while ago.
