Fire Emblem Engage Roy

For today’s Fire Emblem Engage update, Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have introduced Roy. The classic character was given footage and details on the official Japanese Twitter account. Serenes Forest has provided translations.

Roy, who is voiced by Jun Fukuyama, is the Emblem of Binding. He’s a nobleman who’s courageous, resourceful, and has the makings of a fine general.

In Fire Emblem Engage, Roy is great on the front-lines, with an excellent balance of offence and defense. The classic hero also has sturdiness to survive knock out blows and the offensive power to obliterate groups of foes.

Here’s a rundown of his skills:

Emblem Roy’s Sync skill “Endure” lets the user survive combat with 1 HP, as long as their HP is above 30% at the start.

Emblem Roy’s Engage weapon “Lancereaver” is a sword that reverses the weapon triangle, allowing it to break lance-wielding foes.

Emblem Roy’s Engage skill “Transcendence” temporarily grants the user many Levels worth of stats, greatly enhancing their strength.

Emblem Roy’s Engage attack “Lion’s Crimson Flame Dance” attacks 3 horizontal squares in front of the user, while generating flames that hinder movement. When used by Dragon classes, the attack expands to a second row of 3 horizontal squares.

We have some footage of Roy in Fire Emblem Engage. Towards the end of the video, we get to see a conversation he has with Diamant. Roy promises to help Diamant and his friends..
