Publisher Serenity Forge and developer Funselektor Labs announced this week that the top-down minimalist driving game Absolute Drift is getting a physical release on Switch. While it’s been on the system since the end of 2020, the title has only been offered as a digital download on the eShop.

The Absolute Drift: Premium Physical Edition will include a collectible folded poster that matches the minimalist style of the game, a stylized sticker sheet, and a 3D lenticular card.

Clea and Clea 2 were updated not too long ago on Switch, with both games adding a new War Maiden Mode.

Developer InvertMouse describes the mode as its “ultimate challenge to players who have dominated the campaign.” At the end, players can unlock the War Gear costume. The mode can be accessed in the first Clea by completing the campaign with the best ending while Clea 2 becomes available once you have conquered Clea’s Quest with a silver or higher rank.

The turn-based warfare title Gem Wizards Tactics arrived on Switch this week, and gameplay is now available. Those that are interested can check out 10 minutes of footage.

In light of the news that the eShop will be shutting off new purchases on 3DS (and Wii U) in 2023, Nintendo has shared some new data the reveals the best-selling games on the Japanese eShop. We have annual rankings starting with 2011 and going up through 2020.

Essentially all releases are included here. Games that shipped to retail, download-only titles, and Virtual Console releases are all included.

A little while back, Japanese magazine Famitsu conducted a survey for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl. Fans were asked about various topics, such as the version they chose, the starter Pokemon they went with, and the Gym leader they found the toughest to fight.

According to the survey results, Famitsu registered 685 men, 190 women, and 32 “other” as participants. The breakdown of ages was as follows: under 10: 2 people; teens: 205 people; 20s: 545 people; 30s: 131 people; 40s: 16 people; 50s: 6 people; 60s or older: 2 people.

The Switch version of Clouzy! now has a release date. According to an eShop listing, the farming exploration title is slated for February 24, 2022.

Clouzy! was originally confirmed back in November. When it was confirmed for Nintendo’s console, it was given a vague 2022 release window.

After Kao the Kangaroo went missing for well over a decade, the franchise is finally back in the spotlight. Tate Multimedia announced last month that it’s revisiting the series with a new 3D platformer currently in development for Switch.

In an interview with GamesIndustry, head of development Wojtek Bilinski teased plans for the future. While experimenting with different prototypes, the team also thought about a remake along with “a more advanced game with a much older Kao and a bigger emphasis on combat.”
