Touhou Spell Bubble, a rhythm and puzzle game mashup, debuted for Switch in Japan towards the start of 2020. It’s now received a release in the west seemingly out of nowhere.

GungHo Online Entertainment America today announced that a crossover collaboration with Playtonic Games’ Yooka-Laylee is on the way to the real-time strategy RPG Volta-X. It’ll arrive in November.
The Yooka-Laylee collaboration will include an original story mission and unique abilities. Yooka can use “Slurp State” to take on any environmental effects in a room and imbue his next attacks with that effect. Additional information about the collaboration will be provided later.

KORG Gadget for Nintendo Switch will soon be offered in physical form. Nicalis has announced that it’s partnering with Detune on a physical version, which is slated for December 4.
The physical release of KORG Gadget for Nintendo Switch will include a 60-page instruction manual, which Nicalis says is “one of the most thorough booklets that has ever been created to accompany a console game release.”
Pricing for KORG Gadget for Nintendo Switch is set at $49.99. The Nicalis online store is taking pre-orders here.

WayForward has announced that it has picked up Dawn of the Monsters for publishing. It’s being developed by 13AM Games, the studio behind Runbow. WayForward “will provide creative support and handle digital publishing, distribution, and marketing duties in North America and Europe.”
It’s also been confirmed that Dawn of the Monsters will release on Switch. The project is scheduled for a late 2021 launch.

Bug Fables is celebrating its first anniversary with a major update. Version 1.1 has been announced, which will add new quests and bosses, a requested Dash upgrade to increase movement speed, and more.

Ninjala Season 3 kicked off today, and it’s accompanied by a major update. Highlights include Special Collections and the all-new Spectator Mode. That’s on top of an updated visual appearance of the base screen, new gum weapons, new stages, new UI features, and a wide range of adjustments and bug fixes.

East2West Games and Puppet Depot Game Studio have announced that Wonder Blade, an arcade hack-and-slash game, is landing on Switch today. It can be found digitally on the eShop.

Excalibur Games has sent out the second developer diary for Tracks: Toybox Edition on Switch. Below, lead developer Tom talks about some of the more visual aspects of the game such as how you can create different styles with the props, weather effects and time of day.

Poker Club was announced for Switch in September. Originally, the game was on track to launch later this year on the system. That’ll no longer be happening with Ripstone confirming that the Switch version has been pushed back to 2021.

A few classic Turrican titles are making a comeback on Switch. ININ Games has teamed up with Factor 5, and we’ll be seeing Turrican, Turrican II: The Final Fight, Mega Turrican, and Super Turrican in a single package.
