Back in early 2018, a hacking group known as Team-Xecuter announced a Switch mod that allows for pirated games to be loaded onto the hardware. That wasn’t all though, as the group also sold SD cards containing pirated games to be loaded onto consoles via the mod.
Nintendo has now won an injunction, prohibiting Team-Xecuter’s Sergio Moreno from modifying, selling, renting, or distributing unauthorized copies of Nintendo technology, software, or trademarked material. Moreno has also been orders to destroy the existing modded devices and pirated software.
Team-Xecuter also apparently sold a modded NES Classic Edition with over 800 games, but that was not involved with this new injunction.
