After many complaints of drifting Joy-Con, Nintendo of America started changing its approach to repairs. Rather than charging for fixes after expired warranty, going forward, all repairs of the controllers will be free. This mainly applied to North America based on what we had initially seen, but it looks like other regions are starting to get involved.

The latest update concerns Latin America. Free Joy-Con repair is now being offered in the region, according to an authorized Nintendo repair shop in Costa Rica. We’ll keep you informed about any other updates to the situation.

Fire Emblem Heroes has replaced the male voice actor of Byleth, and the same could end up happening with Fire Emblem: Three Houses. This all came about after Christopher Niosi, who played the character’s role, admitted to abuse in a lengthy Tumblr post. That can be found in full here.

Niosi was originally featured in a recent trailer for Fire Emblem Heroes. However, the credit disappeared from the character page, and a new trailer has since been uploaded with re-recorded lines and a credit given to Zach Aguilar.

As things stand, Niosi is still featured in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. While some fans think Nintendo may end up replacing him in the Switch game, we’ll have to wait and see if that actually happens.

A trio of classic Doom games have landed on the Switch eShop. Doom, Doom II, and Doom 3 can be purchased starting today. However, there’s one element about the experience that some players have taken issue with.

In order to play the Doom Switch ports, you’re required to log in to a Bethesda.net account. If you stay signed in, it seems that each title can be played offline. It might be a bit of a hassle if you want to jump in right away – especially if you don’t have an account already and aren’t interested in creating one – but you should be all set after logging in.
