After a two-day delay on its debut, Japanese comedy duo Yoiko is back with their first episode of a three-part set centering on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Yoiko — which includes GameCenter CX’s Shinya Arino — is celebrating the imminent launch of the game by showing off 30 minutes of footage, focusing on multiple modes. In addition, even Masahiro Sakurai himself makes a surprise appearance on the show.

The latest firmware update has gone live. As of today, all system owners can access version 11.9.0-42.

There really shouldn’t be much of a surprise as to what today’s update entails. Nintendo says: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.

This has been the case for 3DS since 2015. Nintendo has released updates periodically since then, but each one has carried the same notice.

3DS also had a larger install base at the time. Pokemon X and Pokemon Y launched a year later in the dedicated portable’s lifecycle.

Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu and Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee sold three million copies over a three-day period. Last week, Nintendo announced that they’ve sold over 1.5 million copies in the United States alone since release.

Merge Games has nailed down a release month for Riot: Civil Unrest. The real-time riot simulation game will be out in February, the company announced today.
