Switch has a big, exclusive RPG launching in July. Of course, we’re referring to Octopath Traveler. Despite being a couple of weeks off, you can experience a big chunk of the game as we speak. During E3, Nintendo and Square Enix added a new demo to the eShop that lets you play through three full hours.
How many of you have had a chance to play through the new demo? Did it sell you on the game? Perhaps you were already sold after seeing the initial reveal last year or trying the previous demo? Let us know how you’re feeling about Octopath Traveler in the comments below.
Two Crude, the latest arcade game from Flying Tiger Entertainments, hits Switch on July 5. We have some footage below.
Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana was originally intended to come with some free DLC at launch. While that content hasn’t been revoked, it has been temporarily pulled from the eShop.
NIS America issued a launch day patch for Ys VIII earlier this week. Unfortunately, some users reported that the game was crashing during the “Checking DLC” screen after downloading the DLC and update. The DLC has been removed for a short while since affected players were unable to start the game.
Following its previous appearance on Wii U and New 3DS, Runbow makes the jump to Switch on Tuesday. Take a look at some footage from the final build below.
System: Switch
Release date: June 29, 2018
Developer: MachineGames / Panic Button
Publisher: Bethesda
When MachineGames rebooted Wolfenstein with The New Order in 2014, most people didn’t expect that its story would elevate it from a mediocre shooter bogged down with odd gameplay design decisions to a minor classic. The reboot was only really Wolfenstein by name, taking place in a dieselpunk alternate history World War II where Germany developed and dropped the first atom bomb on America, leading to the surrender of the Allied forces and the Third Reich’s world domination. It really only carries on the name of its protagonist, “B.J.” (or William J. Blazkowicz), along with his propensity towards killing Nazis.
Broforce is coming to Switch, according to a tweet from Devolver Digital. When asked on Twitter about a release of the game on Nintendo’s console, the company responded with: “En route.”
Originally released in 2015, Broforce is a well-received run-and-gun platform title. We have more information and a trailer below.

NIS America is attending Anime Expo next week, and the company has teased announcements for the show. News will come in at around 12 PM PT / 3 PM ET on July 5. The NIS America Community Panel will be hosted at that time, which is where reveals are expected.
Perhaps RPG Maker MV will be officially announced. There could also be localization announcements, such as Liar Princess and the Blind Prince. Whatever the case, we’ll be sure to bring you any Switch-related news from the event.
