The Switch is getting a lot of love from third-party developers both big and small, with tons of games getting Switch versions. However, it seems like A Hat in Time won’t be one of them. A week ago on Twitter, the game’s official Twitter account responded to a fan asking about a possible Switch version with a very definite sounding “A Hat in Time is not coming to the Switch.”.
While it was never officially announced or hinted at, a Switch version of the game never really seemed impossible. Back in September, developed Gears for Breakfast obtained Switch development kits. Several years ago, when the game was still in development after its successful Kickstarter campaign, there was also talk of a possible Wii U version, though that subject has since been quietly dropped.
The SteamWorld Dig series started out on Nintendo 3DS, with the first game releasing on Nintendo’s dual-screen handheld back in 2013. The sequel has since been released on Switch – and today, developer Image & Form has revealed that SteamWorld Dig 2 is heading to 3DS. In fact, it will be released next week, on February 22nd, in Europe and North America. It’ll be digital-only and cost $19.99 / €19.99.

The Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia is the next issue in the Legend of Zelda book series by Nintendo, following Hyrule Historia and Arts & Artifacts. Originally, it was slated for a release in the West on April 24th, 2018. However, it seems like it got pushed back a little. Several Amazon websites, including Amazon US, Amazon Germany, Amazon France and Amazon Spain now list the book as releasing on June 19th, 2018. A couple of sites like Amazon UK still have the original April release date, though it’s likely just a matter of time until they change it as well.
Similarly, the release date of the Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia Deluxe Edition, which contains Hyrule Historia, Arts & Artifacts and the Legend of Zelda Encyclopedia in special NES cartridge-themed sleeves, has also been pushed back to June 19.
New special quests are available based on using Alfonse, Sharena, Anne and Fjorm. Players can obtain orbs, light’s blessing and more. These quests are available til the 26th.
