Nintendo has shattered all sorts of sales records with Switch since the system launched in 2017. Despite being around for less than a year, it has done exceptionally well thus far.
The latest example of this can be seen from a nugget of new information provided by the NPD. Analyst Mat Piscatella says that “on a time-aligned basis through the first 10 months on the market, Nintendo Switch has sold more consoles than any other platform in history.”
Nintendo announced earlier this month that Switch is the fastest-selling home video game system of all time in the US. Nearly five million units have been sold in the country.
Arcade Archives Double Dragon was pushed back from its original planned release on Switch last month, but was added to the eShop earlier today. You can check out some footage in the video below.
Another new patch for Enter the Gungeon has gone live on Switch. If you’ve purchased the game, you should be able to access version 1.0.2.

FDG Entertainment shared the latest screenshots from Monster Boy today. The images show the game’s updated graphics, which now feature hand-drawn animations for all transformations, which adds quite a bit of new detail. If you compare them to the screenshots released at Gamescom last year, you’ll definitely notice a difference.

The team is now involved with much “crunching” as the development comes closer to completion. Hopefully it won’t be too much longer until launch.

Switch has reached another major milestone. Based on the latest information provided by NPD, Nintendo has confirmed that its console is now the fastest-selling home gaming system ever in Canada.
Pierre-Paul Trepanier, Nintendo of Canada’s general manager and senior director, said in a statement today:
“The response that the Nintendo Switch has received from Canadians has been nothing short of spectacular. We’re thrilled to have seen such record-breaking momentum in 2017.”
Nintendo announced earlier this month that Switch had become the fastest-selling home video game system of all time in the U.S. as well. Over 4.8 million units have been sold in the country since launch.
