The interviews with Suda51 continue to roll in. Kotaku spoke with the Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes director at PAX West.
Other than talking about the Switch game, Suda51 had some words about the hardware itself. He described it as a “punk console” and was “shocked” when he first saw it.
Here’s Suda51 talking about Switch in his usually zany way:

A new Nintendo Direct is airing tomorrow, and Nintendo NY is hosting a special viewing event. You can stop by the store to watch the presentation live with other fans.
Nintendo NY tweeted earlier today:
Stop by #NintendoNYC tomorrow at 6PM to watch the Nintendo Direct with us! https://t.co/OWTmod5Usy

Nintendo Directs and E3 broadcasts can sometimes lead to some amazing reactions – sort of like the announcement of Metroid Prime 4.
Update (9/12): The new date of October 5 is officially confirmed:
The people have spoken! We decided to move the eShop release of Axiom Verge up to October 5! Updated retail date TBA soon. https://t.co/QCdEpKoyUM
— Tom Happ (@AxiomVerge) September 12, 2017
Original (9/11): Axiom Verge might be just a few weeks away on Switch. Over on the European eShop, a release date of October 5 is included in a new page listing. For what it’s worth, it’s listed for October 19 on the North American store.
It was announced last week that Axiom Verge’s physical version has been delayed by a couple of weeks. Due to that, the eShop version might be releasing early so that Switch owners interested in a digital copy won’t have to wait too much longer.
In other news, we have the file size for Axiom Verge on Switch. It’ll take up 119MB of space.

Switch is doing well in almost every part of the world. But according to GamesIndustry publisher and former MCV editor Christopher Dring, sales are slower in the UK compared to other markets.
Dring did add that Switch sales this year are currently ahead of the Xbox One. The system is “well behind” the PlayStation 4, however.
It might not be wise to stress over this information. After all, we don’t have concrete sales data for the UK at the moment.
Since Nintendo has lifted the review embargo for Metroid: Samus Returns, more footage of the game is coming in. Watch a half hour of gameplay below.
Sine Mora EX is just on the horizon. THQ Nordic announced today that the game is coming to Switch on September 26. In other regions, including Europe, the release date will be October 10.
Here’s an overview of Sine Mora EX:
Sine Mora EX is a side-scrolling shoot’em up that provides a unique challenge, where time is the ultimate factor. Mixing classic shooter sensibilities with contemporary presentation, Sine Mora is a gorgeous shoot’em up offering both a Story Mode that weaves an over-the-top tale and an Arcade Mode that provides deep, satisfying gameplay to challenge fans of the genre. The story mode can be also played in local co-op mode.
Sine Mora EX features a 16:9 aspect ratio (instead of 16:10 which still remains as an option), full English voice over (original Hungarian voices remain available), local two-player co-op in Story Mode, new Race / Tanks / Dodgeball Versus Modes, new challenge levels, and improved rendering.
