It’s time for the latest Famitsu‘s most wanted games chart. Things stay mostly the same, though there are strong shifts for some titles such as a big rise for ARMS (up eleven spots).

Head past the break for the full chart. All votes were cast between April 27 and May 10.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, a remake of Fire Emblem Gaiden, takes on a completely new name. In an interview with The Verge, director Kenta Nakanishi explained the change.

Nakanishi told the site:

“Because it wasn’t released outside of Japan, and gaiden means side story, people would think ‘What is the side story for?’ So we thought we’d come up with a new title.”

Nakanishi also commented on the Fire Emblem game he would remake if he had to choose. His selection? Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, a Japan-exclusive GBA title. Nakanishi said that Roy’s story “has never been told, so it would be great if we could release a remake of his story.”

Nintendo had a notable presence at BitSummit this weekend with a variety of playable indie games. Thanks to site contributor iYakku, we have a few photos of the booth that you can view below.

BitSummit is one of Japan’s largest independent-game-centric events. Aside from Nintendo, many other companies and developers were present to have their upcoming projects represented.

At BitSummit, Skeleton Crew Studio was showing its newly-confirmed Switch game BackSlash. Have a look at some footage below via an official live stream segment.

What we’ve heard within the past few days indicated that the ARMS Global Testpunch will include seven playable characters. Everyone aside from Kid Cobra, Byte & Barq, and Twintelle were thought to be available. Based on fresh information though, these fighters might be in after all.

Have a look at this listing from the eShop:

The listing clearly states that all ten fighters will be in ARMS Global Testpunch. It also highlights the inclusion of local multiplayer, Hoops mode, and connecting online for exhibition matches.

We should note that this eShop listing isn’t official confirmation. We’ll try to get a response from Nintendo, but we should have a definitive answer soon as ARMS Global Testpunch begins in less than a week.

Japanese Twitter user kentarock1020 has a son named Hibiki who, very sadly, is completely blind. He’s lacked the ability to see since the age of two due to the rare cancer form retinoblastoma. That naturally makes it difficult to play most video games. However, there’s one Nintendo series he’s managed to not only play, but also excel at.

With the help of his father, Hibiki wrote a letter to Nintendo thanking the company and asking for more Rhythm Heaven (Rhythm Tengoku in Japan) games in the future. The full message is below:

Pokemon GO was a big winner at the 21st Annual Webby Awards. Most significantly, it was selected as best mobile game.

Niantic’s global product marketing lead Archit Bhargava stopped by to accept the award, and delivered a short but sweet speech. He simply stated: “This summer will be legendary.”

Bhargava’s brief comment comes off as a tease for future Pokemon GO plans. Players are still waiting on Legendary Pokemon to appear in the game after all. With Pokemon GO coming up on its first year anniversary, offering these creatures would be a nice way to celebrate the event. Niantic CEO John Hanke also indicated a few months ago that Legendary Pokemon are a part of Niantic’s plan for the game in 2017, which could be happening during the summer.
