Nintendo has shared its latest maintenance schedule for the week of July 30, 2023. Things aren’t quite as busy as they were last week, but there will still be some downtime for Switch, Wii U, and 3DS.

The Switch version of Brotato is almost ready to go, and the eShop provides a final release date. Seaven Studio will be publishing it on August 3, 2023.

You may recall that Brotato was announced for Switch during an Indie World Showcase earlier this year. We initially had a general 2023 launch window.

Following the Switch release of Patrick’s Parabox, new gameplay has emerged. 25 minutes of footage is now available for the puzzle experience.

First week sales for Pikmin 4 in Japan were reported this week, with the game selling just over 400,000 copies. You might be interested to hear that this is the best performance for the series so far, and it’s not even close.

When the first Pikmin hit GameCube back in 2001, it sold 101,299 copies in its first week. Pikmin 2 did better, but still only moved 161,930 units back in 2004. Pikmin 3 then took a step back with its Wii U launch at 102,188 copies (not counting digital). Pikmin 3 Deluxe later saw its Switch launch in 2020 with 171,349 units sold (again without digital).
