Update: Updates for Tuesday have begun.
Original: Even though Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon aren’t launching until next Friday, the leaks have begun. It would appear that someone has managed to obtain a retail copy ahead of release. Earlier in the day, that person began playing through the game and sharing images/information online. We’ll probably be hearing about similar reports in the days to come.
It’s going to be a long couple of weeks before Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon are officially made available. With that in mind, we’ve set up a single post where leaked material will be contained. We won’t be sharing any content that early players provide anywhere else on the site. If you’re up for spoilers, continue on below.
This week’s Famitsu review scores are as follows:
Battlefield 1 (PS4/XBO) – 9/10/8/9

Steredenn (PS4) – 7/7/7/8
Koneko no Ie: Kirishimaya to Sanbiki no Koneko – (3DS) 7/8/7/6

All Kamen Rider: Rider Revolution, the latest Kamen Rider game, is out on December 1st in Japan. Bandai Namco revealed the game’s special edition today, which contains the game itself, a Kaigan Ghost toy, a keychain and a poster for 8200 yen. Some new screenshots and character artwork were also revealed – check them out in the gallery below:
Beyblade Burst launches in Japan in just two days, on November 10th. Check out the latest TV commercial for the game:
RPG Maker Fes, the next installment in the RPG Maker series, launches on November 24th in Japan for 3DS. The games created with it can be played with the RPG Maker Fes Player which, as we previously reported, is a piece of software that can be downloaded for free from the eShop, even if you don’t own RPG Maker Fes.
Today, it’s been revealed via Famitsu that the RPG Maker Fes Player launches on November 16th, one week before RPG Maker Fes. Since there obviously won’t be any games created by other players with RPG Maker Fes at that point, the RPG Maker Fes Player will instead allow you to try out a selection of games created by “legendary creators” – prominent developers and contest winners. Famitsu will detail those games in its next issue.
The usual update for Pokemon Shuffle has arrived and, as announced last week, the main highlight is a competition against Mega Sharpedo, along with battles against Meloetta, Medicham, and a Daily Pokemon Challenge.
The Mega Sharpedo stage will see players competing to get Sharpedonite, lasting until November 15. The top 12,000 players in Europe, 18,000 players in North America, and 60,000 in Japan will earn the Mega Stone, with other prizes as follows:
A Meloetta (Aria Forme) Escalation Battle and Medicham battle are new, and the Daily Pokemon (#6) stage returns. The Daily Pokemon will rotate which Pokemon is available daily, between Tyrogue, Castform, Mantyke, Solrock, and Seviper. Meloetta and the Daily Pokemon will run until November 22, while Medicham will run until the 15th.
Miitomo has gotten another Miitomo Drop stage. Players can nab some new items in the latest Miitomo Drop stage, “Go for a hat trick! Soccer Style #3”.
Available items include:
– Soccer fan wig
– Soccer fan bikini top
– Soccer fan short-shorts
– Rally towel + megaphone
Users can select Miitomo Drop stages from the Shop tab. Miitomo coins or game tickets are needed to play.
This past weekend, we added some comments to the site about Capcom’s approach to Switch. The responses have now been official translated and posted on the company’s investor relations website. We have the full remarks rather than summaries.
First, when asked about Capcom’s stance regarding developing for Switch, the publisher said:
“It is excellent to have the market invigorated with new hardware launches. As a software publisher, we endeavor to develop games that offer enjoyment best suited to each piece of hardware’s features and target users. Following first party, in order to introduce our own content we are currently moving forward with internal planning and analysis as a partner company.”
Next, here’s what Capcom said about developing multiplatform titles on Switch:
“We are currently carrying out research with regards to multiplatform implementation of software for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on to the Nintendo Switch and thus are unable to comment at this moment. However, we do feel that there are differences in the desired direction and the play-style of the Nintendo Switch and those of the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. At Capcom, we determine which platform to release a title for after considering the features of both our software and the hardware in question, believing we must bring the enjoyment of our games to their maximum potential.”
A new update for Pokemon GO is “rolling out right now” according to the Pokemon GO site.
The update will add the daily bonus system to Pokemon GO, which will reward players for catching a Pokemon and visiting a PokeStop each day. Repeating this each day will net you further rewards. Additionally, Niantic has said that Pokemon spawn rates will be higher until November 11, alongside extra items being given out at PokeStop. The Pokemon GO Twitter released this helpful picture in a tweet to explain the daily bonus system.
How about a bonus on your bonus? From Nov 7 – Nov 11, you can find more Pokémon & get more items from PokéStops! https://t.co/l13dRCPveW pic.twitter.com/4BvetrzmFK
