Yu-Gi-Oh! Saikyou Card Battle is featured in the latest issue of V Jump. There isn’t a ton that’s new, but we do have a few images and details pertaining to the game.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Saikyou Card Battle is centered around a new tournament held after Battle City known as the “Legend Challenge”. Speed Duels are in, and it’s currently unknown if regular Duels exist. V Jump also confirms that there are 3D Monster Animations for cards such as “Dark Magician Girl”. Finally, cards from the latest Starter Deck will be included.
Konami will release Yu-Gi-Oh! Saikyou Card Battle this summer via the eShop.

Another round of footage has surfaced from the new Super Mario Mash-Up Pack in Minecraft: Wii U Edition. Here’s over 10 minutes of gameplay:
Nintendo posted a couple of new Super Mario Maker stats over on its North American Twitter page.
We now know that over 7.2 million user-created courses have been made. Collectively, they’ve been played over 600 million times.
Nintendo also reconfirmed that Super Mario Maker has sold over 3.5 million copies worldwide. That tidbit was revealed through the company’s latest financial report.
At MomoCon next week, Aksys Games will be holding a panel. It’ll take place on May 27 at 1 PM local time.
During the event, Aksys will discuss its upcoming slate of titles, including Zero Time Dilemma. The publisher has also teased “major announcements”, though it’s unclear if the news will pertain to Nintendo platforms.

In honor of Ace Attorney’s 15th anniversary, a Figma (figure) based on Phoenix Wright is on the way. However, Good Smile Company has yet to share a release date or price.

We’ll bring you more information on the Phoenix Wright Figma as it becomes available.
According to Deadline, a film based on Tetris will begin filming in China and other locations next year. A Chinese and western cast mix will also be featured in the production.
Plans are in place to have the movie kick off a trilogy. Interestingly, Deadline describes it as “a sci-fi thriller.” Co-producer Larry Kasanoff also mentioned that it’s “not at all what you think; it will be a cool surprise.”
The Tetris movie will have a budget of $80 million. It will be the first effort from Threshold Global Studios, a new banner created by Kasanoff and Bruno Wu, who will also act as a producer.
Image & Form shared a release date for SteamWorld Heist on PlayStation platforms today, but the Wii U version remains in development. The studio says it’ll be made available “shortly after” it hits the likes of PS4 and PS Vita.
Meanwhile, a new video from Image & Form has an HD SteamWorld Heist trailer as well as a look at how it stacks up to the 3DS version. That can be found below.
Dan Adelman was formally Nintendo of America’s head of digital content and development. He left the company in 2014, and went on to work with Tom Happ on Axiom Verge.
While Adelman is still occupied with Axiom Verge, he’s also involved with two more projects: Chasm and Mages of Mystralia. Chasm seems like a lock for Nintendo platforms, with Adelman mentioning that the team would love to see a release there “as quickly as possible.” Mages of Mystralia’s platforms haven’t been determined, but Adelman said: “suffice it to say I keep my old friends at Nintendo up to speed on the game’s development progress.”
Here’s the full rundown on both games from Adelman:
I’m working on 3 games right now. First, of course, is Axiom Verge! The next game that will be coming out is Chasm. Like Axiom Verge, Chasm is a Metroidvania-style game, but the similarities end there. To the extent that Axiom Verge is more Metroid-like, Chasm is more akin to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, in that it has a bigger focus on melee combat, RPG-style character development, and gear that you can equip. But also, like Axiom Verge, comparisons to its inspiration can only go so far, because there are a lot of things that Chasm does that make it quite different from anything else out there. For example, the world map is procedurally generated, so the game will have nearly infinite replayability. Right now it’s targeted for a PC and PS4 launch for technical reasons, but we’d love to bring it to Nintendo platforms as quickly as possible.
The third game I’m working on is called Mages of Mystralia, which I think is most easily described as Harry Potter meets Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. In it, you play as a girl named Zia who discovers she has magic abilities. Magic has been outlawed, so she goes into exile to master the ways of magic and learn how to design her own spells. She crafts spells to fight enemies as well as solve environmental puzzles along the way. The story is being written by legendary fantasy author Ed Greenwood, so the gameplay and story should be equally compelling! We haven’t announced any platforms yet, but suffice it to say I keep my old friends at Nintendo up to speed on the game’s development progress.
