DeNA, one of the largest mobile platforms in Japan, is set to have a joint press conference today with Nintendo at 5PM JST (about an hour and fifteen minutes from now at the time of this writing). No information has been given on this sudden conference or what this is even about. The conference will be streamed to YouTube, but no links are allowed to be made public at the moment. According to this tweet, it seems a link to the live stream won’t be made readily available until it starts. The conference is set to last about 60 minutes.

The fact that Nintendo is doing a joint conference with DeNA makes you wonder what will be discussed during this conference. Satoru Iwata has stated multiple times that they have no desire to bring their IP to mobile platforms, so it’ll be interesting to see what transpires once the conference begins. Maybe we’ll get a look at an official Miiverse app, or something related?

Mario Party 10 isn’t the only new Nintendo game coming out in North America this week. Fossil Fighters: Frontier is launching on the 3DS as well. If you’re planning on buying the game digitally, keep in mind that it takes up 1,406MB of space.

Rocket Company, the team behind the Medabots games, has a new 3DS title in the works for Imagineer known as “Escape Adventure: Ultimate Fort”. The entire experience is based on a jailbreak attraction featured in the Fuji-Q Highland amusement park, which has players using their wits and cooperate to make it out.

There’s not much information about the actual 3DS game. However, here’s what we know about the real-life attraction:

– In the attraction, players are put in a giant prison
– Different challenges along the way
– Areas are filled with all kinds of doors and rooms
– Over 100 missions
– Stages have hidden clues and gimmicks that must be solved in order to advance
– The main themes behind the Ultimate Fort attraction are maze, problem-solving, cooperation, and stamina
– Since some of the stages can take a while
The puzzles may be a little tough at times, which is why there’s an option for people to retire and leave the attraction
– The 3DS title might not be as lenient for players

Escape Adventure: Ultimate Fort launches in Japan this summer.
