Limited Run Games has provided details about its physical release plans for River City Girls 2.

A standard release will be available alongside the Classic Edition and Ultimate Edition. River City Girls 2 villains

Arc System Works and WayForward have readied a new trailer for River City Girls 2 that provides a look at the game’s villains. These include Sabuko (the “disgraced daughter”), Ken (the “rich boy yakuza”), and Sabu (the “criminal patriarch).

Here’s some information about the game:

River City Girls 1 & 2

Original (8/17): Retailer listings have outed River City Girls 1 & 2 for release on Switch in Japan. It will be available on December 1, 2022.

What you’re getting here is pretty straightforward as River City Girls 1 and 2 will be available together in a single package. The first game has been on Switch for some time, but the sequel has yet to release.

River City Girls 2 delayed

WayForward has provided an update on River City Girls 2, announcing that the game will now be available in North America “sometime after its originally expected late summer 2022”. Specifics beyond that were not announced. However, some new cover art was shared on social media, which we have above.

River City Girls 2 was first revealed in June 2021. WayForward had hoped that the game would be ready for this summer, but that didn’t happen in the end.

This week’s issue of Weekly Famitsu magazine has revealed an updated release date for River City Girls 2 in Japan. The title will now be releasing on December 1, 2022 in the region.

It should be noted that the last update we received for River City Girls 2 was in December 2021, with a trailer providing a Summer 2022 release window for the game. Considering this new Japanese release date, it’s likely that this Summer 2022 release window has slid in other regions as well, in which case we should hear a confirmation for the game’s new worldwide release date soon.

River City Saga: Three Kingdoms - River City Girls

Misako and Kyoko are joining River City Saga: Three Kingdoms as part of the game’s Heroes of the Three Kingdoms: Battle of Red Cliffs mode, it’s been revealed.

As a reminder, this mode has players going through ten stages where powerful bosses await as they work together – and sometimes compete against each other. It’s possible to turn friendly fire on / off here, find hidden stages, and more.
