XSEED has posted what looks to be the last blog for Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns. But it’s a big one – XSEED talks about the upcoming update, the new DLC, and 3DS theme.

Here’s the full rundown in its entirety:

When Shantae: Half-Genie Hero was on Kickstarter, a “friends mode” stretch goal was funded. It promised Sky, Bolo, and Rottytops as playable characters. There’s more to this than just a new mode, as WayForward is calling it “Friends to the End” as an entirely new expansion.

First details about Friends to the End have just been posted on Kickstarter in a new update. WayForward provides the following information:

XSEED Games has finally announced a release date for the Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns DLC. The company has also unveiled a new theme for 3DS.

The Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns DLC arrives on November 9 in North America for $7.99. We’ll also be seeing a new theme for the game on the same day for $1.99.

Nights of Azure 2 players in Japan can now access the game’s first piece of DLC for free. It’s the side story “Étranger in the Kingdom of Sweets”.

Below are a few details:

– Aluche is drafted into helping Eleanor, one of her Lilies and a master chocolatier
– Explore the recently discovered Kingdom of Sweets in order to find the ‘Legendary Cocoa Butter’
– Can be accessed any time after Chapter 3 of the main story has been completed
– Players have to talk to Eleanor about the Kingdom of Sweets and advance the story by entering the hotel lobby afterwards

This DLC is not yet live in the west. If / when it’s made available in North America and Europe, we’ll let you know.

At the Tokyo Game Show last month, it was announced that Fire Emblem Warriors will have DLC. Players can purchase a season pass (or individually) when the game comes out for three different waves of content.

Today’s North American launch trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors gives us a better idea as to what we can expect from the DLC. Koei Tecmo is planning three new playable characters, three new History scenarios, new weapons and costumes, and new support conversations for each pack.

The first Fire Emblem Warriors DLC pack, featuring Fire Emblem Fates, drops in December. The Shadow Dragon pack will be up next in February, followed by Fire Emblem Awakening in March.

Saber Interactive is cooking up the first DLC for NBA Playgrounds. It’s out on other platforms now, but “Hot N’ Frosty” will be on Switch soon.

The new DLC contains the new playgrounds Rio de Janeiro, Toronto, and Miami, each with their own tournament. The rookies Markelle Fultz, Jayson Tatum, Lonzo Ball, Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, Dennis Smith Jr., Jonathan Isaac, and Malik Monk are also included. Pricing is set at $9.99.

Two new characters have joined Mighty Gunvolt Burst. Call from Mighty No. 9 as well as Joule from Azure Striker Gunvolt are now being distributed in Japan. Each piece of DLC is priced at 200 yen.

Both characters should be going up in North America and Europe tomorrow as well. We’re unable to check the 3DS eShop, but we assume Call and Joule are also available in that version.
