LIONPLEX has been hard at work on its debut project Neon Krieger Yamato. The game had been previously announced for PC, but we now have confirmation that a Wii U version is in the works as well.

Neon Krieger Yamato is a 2D platformer with fighting game elements. The developers hope to “to capture a mix of stylish combos, fast paced action, and twitch combat puzzles, presented in a pixel art cyberpunk world harkening to the days of 16 bit.”

Indie title Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One Soul is in development for Wii U.

You’ll be taking on the role of Alice, a 22 year-old chemical engineering student. Alice spent twelve years at a facility after being kidnapped as a child, but following the failure of a mysterious project known as “Project Nostalgia”, she and fourteen other children were released. The game appears to take place ten years later with Alice experiencing a state of unconsciousness due to a side effect of the experiments that were performed on her. In her dreams, Alice sees herself locked in a room, and is told that she will die if she can’t escape within ten minutes.

Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One Soul features a mix of visual novel and RPG gameplay. Ace Attorney, Mother, and more are cited as references for inspiration. Here’s a rundown of the game’s features:

– Unique Characters from each worlds – Even though you may interact/play with your alter ego, every character is different. Everyone has different moods, ideas and even different weapon types.
– Beautiful Graphics – We are working extremely hard to bring beautiful, stylized and fully-animated graphics to your screen.
– Full Interaction – In Nostalgia, you will be able to interact with almost everything, and each object will have its own, unique description.
– Unexpected Outcomes – We want cliches out, simple as that. Solid true twists, no sugar coating.
– Decision Making – Each decision has it owns outcome. So re-playability is guarantee

A release date for Nostalgia: Two Worlds | One Soul has not yet been announced.

Shin’en is still working on FAST Racing Neo for the Wii U eShop. But in terms of what the future holds, we could hear about the studio’s next game in 2016. The company, unsurprisingly, will almost certainly be sticking with Nintendo platforms with future titles.

Shin’en’s Martin Sauter told Nintendo World Report in an interview at Gamescom:

“We’re already brainstorming but we can talk about it when we’re ready. Fact is, we don’t know what’s in the future, but we’d love to stick with Nintendo hardware, eShop games and if FAST is a success we’ll keep going. Maybe next year we’ll talk about the next game.”

In other news, Yacht Club Games confirmed that Plague of Shadows wrapped up development earlier this week. Fans can expect a release date “very, very soon”.

“We’re happy to share that, as of August 5th, Plague of Shadows has completed development! Now the game is in the “submission phase” where we coordinate with everyone to make sure it arrives on your system without a hitch. This can be a mystifying step, since we need to coordinate with a lot of teams beyond just our own. Once we hear word back, we’ll be able to share a true final release date. But expect it very, very soon! In the meantime, get ready for updates in the near future detailing the new campaign!”
