Between Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse as well as Shantae: Half-Genie Hero, there’s a lot of Shantae goodness coming our way in the near future. Regarding the former title, WayForward says that it’s almost done. The studio said in a Kickstarter update for Half-Genie Hero earlier this month that Pirate’s Curse “is nearing the finish line”.

Winter may have just begun, but Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is nearing the finish line! The team is working super crazy hard and the game just keeps getting more amazing with each passing day. By the time the last snowfall of Winter melts you should all be happily enjoying a brand new adventure in Sequin Land!

Trickster Face is interested in bringing its survival horror project “Long Night” to Wii U. In an interview with 4CR, the studio said it’s something that has been considered since the game’s beginning, and while the team hasn’t fully investigated the eShop’s mechanics, they’d very much like to see a Wii U version happen.

Trickster Face said:

Yes, the Wii U release is something we’ve discussed a lot since the beginning. We haven’t fully investigated the eshop mechanics enough, but it’s definitely something we want to make a reality!

You can find Long Night on Kickstarter here. Trickster Face is looking to raise $10,000 CAD by January 15.
