Two Tribes will release EDGE on the 3DS eShop on December 26.


Teyon will be releasing Bird Mania Christmas on the 3DS eShop next week, the company announced today. Pricing is set at $1.99 / €1.99.

Bird Mania Christmas offers the following features:

• Christmas-inspired winter theme with new online leaderboards for fierce competition for the top spot
• Fly through the icy winter full of gingerbread cookies, candy canes and pine trees galore.
• Loads of Christmas baubles and stars to collect for points!

Two Tribes is asking fans on Twitter if they’d like to see the first Toki Tori on 3DS. It’s something that the studio is currently considering, and so fan input may make the portable version happen.

Shin’en is currently preparing a new update for Jett Rocket II: The Wrath of Taikai. Items addressed include:

  • The main character is now faster and more agile
  • Backlash on enemy contact has been reduced
  • ‘Black screen’ issue on Game Over screen fixed
  • ‘Mirror World’ missing Secret fixed

Jett Rocket II’s patch has already been submitted, so we should be seeing it out soon.

Wii U eShop titles from Japanese developers/publishers are a rare thing these days. We’ve seen a couple of games here and there, but nothing too substantial.

Ubiquitous Entertainment will be looking to provide a boost with its new eShop title “Gaiabreaker”. It’s a vertical shooter with leaderboard support.

Pricing is set at 1,890 yen for Gaiabreaker. The game is slated for December 25 in Japan.

Notion Games has announced a final name for Super Ubie Land on Wii U. Going forward, it’ll be known as “Super Ubie Island”.

Interestingly, Nintendo appears to have requested the latest name change. Notion speculates that the Big N may have thought Super Ubie Land would have been too similar to Super Mario 3D Land.



RCMADIAX is bringing a new and exclusive puzzle title to Wii U based on the Nintendo Web Framework: “BLOK DROP U”. In the game, players will need to safely land the RED BLOK on the ground while destroying the GRAY BLOKS.

BLOK DROP U includes 15 levels of varying difficulty. Additional levels will be distributed for free as future updates.

BLOK DROP U can display gameplay on the TV as well as on the GamePad. 1080p resolution is also supported.

At the moment, BLOK DROP U is scheduled for an early 2014 launch in North America.

Varia Games is working on a new sci-fi shooter/2D platformer game known as “ReVeN”. Metroid, Deus Ex, and Crysis are among the project’s influences.
