Since Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden’s original announcement, fans have been wondering if the game would leave Japan. While we still don’t have an official answer, Koei Tecmo’s European Twitter account has weighed in. A message posted just a short while ago states that Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden appears to be a Japan-only title.

Sometime next month, Nintendo will release a firmware update for the 3DS that allows for the implementation of themes. Close to fifty themes will be offered in Japan at launch, including a few from third-parties like Capcom’s Monster Hunter.
