Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu won’t initially be distributed at retail. Instead, Level-5 has said that it will release the game as a regularly updated, large-scale digital title.

Players can look forward to one free update per month. One major feature Level-5 is working on is a multiplayer mode, though specifics have yet to be shared.

The upcoming Level 5 game, Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu, has received a new TV commercial in Japan. This 30 second commercial shows off some of the gameplay and gives a quick glimpse into how battles will look.

Level-5 has had major issues developing the next entry in the Inazuma Eleven series going back to 2016. A new game isn’t much closer with the company announcing today that Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes likely won’t be ready until at least 2021.

Here’s some new information about the project:

Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes was announced years ago when it was first known as Inazuma Eleven: Great Road of Heroes. Unfortunately, things still don’t seem to be going well for the game.

Level-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino shared an update on Twitter today, and the news isn’t good. Hino said that the project is “facing difficulties in development”. We should have a more concrete update in April.

At the very end of 2019, we heard about a brand new Yo-kai Watch game titled Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y. The latest issue of CoroCoro confirms that it’ll be launching on Switch this summer.

Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yo-kai Academy Y will let players enjoy school life while also doing battles as a Yo-kai hero. New gameplay systems will be included.

Like other recent Level-5 IPs, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold isn’t just limited to a game. Toys were made and an anime was created.

It doesn’t look like there are any extensive plans for the toys in the west, but an English dub of the anime is now available. Crunchyroll is streaming the show through its website in numerous countries. Those regions include North America, Central and South America, United Kingdom, Ireland, the Nordics, and other select European countries.
