Update: The Pokemon Company has announced that it will indeed only be a temporary location. The Pokemon Center will be open in the Westfield Shopping Centre between October 18 and November 15 this year.
It seems like London will be getting its own Pokemon Center (shops that exclusively sell Pokemon merchandise) soon. Assets for the location appeared on a press site this morning, but so far there has been no official announcement from The Pokemon Company and no further details are available. However, the press assets describe this as a “pop-up” Pokemon Center, meaning that this is likely only a temporary and not a permanent store. We will keep you updated.

Junichi Masuda discusses how most people think Pokemon is made by Nintendo rather than Game Freak
Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Pokemon is understandably associated with Nintendo. The series’ games have appeared on the Big N’s platforms going all the way back to the Game Boy, and it’s always touted as one of the company’s top properties. However, those who closely follow gaming news understand that Game Freak has been developing the core titles since Pokemon started.
Of course, not everyone knows that. Game Freak’s Junichi Masuda recently said that he asked 200 people who they thought made Pokemon. The result? Close to 100 said Nintendo. Masuda said that some people even think that he’s a a Nintendo employee, when he works at Game Freak instead.
When Masuda returns to his hometown, he’ll overhear people express disbelief to each other that he is actually Junichi Masuda. They say things like, “Someone from Nintendo would never come to a place like this.”

Posted on 4 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News | 0 comments
Pokemon games tend to have a habit of introducing new features with each entry, only for them to be abandoned when the next games are introduced. Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves didn’t stick around long, for example. Having Pokemon follow the player as they’re exploring has also never been consistent.
While speaking with Pokemon Sword/Shield director Shigeru Ohmori, Metro decided to ask why this happens. Ohmori had this to say when asked if Dynamax will stick around in the long-term:
