F-Zero 99 update 1.1.0 Classic Race

Nintendo has announced a major update for F-Zero 99, with version 1.1.0 set to add Classic Race as a new mode.

Classic Race has a few elements to it but is essentially designed to replicate the original SNES experience with smaller courses. It’ll come with the same screen ratio as the original, offers a total of 20 racers, and limits things to one Boost per lap. Additionally, the Skyway, spin move, and filling the meter by taking down opponents are all disabled.

super mario rpg 100 percent

If you’re looking to 100 percent complete Super Mario RPG, the game makes that kind of tough in a few particular ways. The good news is that the game is a little bit on the short side. If you’re playing through the game for the first time, it shouldn’t take you any more than around 15 hours to beat. That being said, prepare for a challenge when it comes to completion.

We have the full rundown below. Just be aware that this guide contains some spoilers before proceeding.

Persona 5 Tactica review

System: Switch
Release date: November 17, 2023
Developer: Atlus / P-Studio
Publisher: SEGA

From dancing and dungeon-crawling to road-trip adventuring, the Phantom Thieves have been awfully busy since the events of 2017’s Persona 5. Of course, with that game being one of the most acclaimed RPGs of the past decade, there’s been plenty of fan demand for spin-offs and sequels, some of which have been truly excellent. That said, even as a fan of Joker and company I was having a hard time getting excited about Persona 5 Tactica – 2021’s Persona 5 Strikers put such a nice bow on the characters’ stories that I didn’t expect a shift to grid-based strategy to shake things up enough. The good news is that it’s a solid tactics game that introduces some fun ideas to the series, even when its story beats don’t quite hit the mark.

Skater XL Switch

The Switch version of Skater XL has finally received a release date. Today, Easy Day Studios announced that the port is slated for December 5, 2023.

It’s been a wild ride for Skater XL, as the game was first announced in 2019. It was delayed in 2020, and while it was only pushed back a few weeks on other platforms, we’re just now getting the Switch version.

Super Mario RPG Culex

Culex, alongside Mallow and Geno, is one of the more popular characters in Super Mario RPG. In addition to being a powerful opponent, he is a living reference to Final Fantasy. He’s also one of the tougher bosses in Super Mario RPG, and encountering him requires a little bit of setup beforehand. We’ve put together a guide on how to find Culex, how to set up your party prior to battle, and how to eventually defeat him to receive the exclusive Quartz Charm accessory.

Virche Evermore - ErroR: Salvation review

System: Switch
Release date: November 9, 2023
Developer: Idea Factory
Publisher: Aksys Games

Curling up with a book is one of my favourite pastimes, and I have always thought that the Switch’s handheld mode makes it the perfect fit for visual novels because of this. Fortunately Aksys Games agrees with me, and has supported the system with a plethora of otome since it first released. With Virche Evermore – ErroR: Salvation, the publisher has brought a noticeably dark story that, although it won’t appeal to everyone, stands out for its exceptional worldbuilding, engaging cast, and superb presentation.

The dust has settled on the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass DLC. 48 tracks were added to the game across six waves, increasing the scope of content even further. Some games were given a bit more love than others, but ultimately all of the past Mario Kart games were represented.

Since the Booster Course Pass has now wrapped up, we’d like to know what your favorite track was (or multiple tracks if you can’t decide on one). How’d you feel about the DLC overall? Let us know in the comments.

Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections review

System: Switch
Release date: November 17, 2023
Developer: CyberConnect2
Publisher: Bandai Namco

Naruto is a series that needs no introduction at this point; if you’ve ever looked into anime before (and even if you haven’t) then you’ll almost certainly have encountered the rambunctious, optimistic, orange-clad ninja-in-training with the grandiose dream of becoming the Hokage of his village. With his story concluded, his son Boruto is now currently starring in his own manga and anime series, and anyone familiar with CyberConnect’s Ultimate Ninja Storm series knew it was only a matter of time before we had a game starring the two of them, with the previous game’s expansion, Road to Boruto, offering a glimpse of that future. Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections might not be the game that long-time fans were hoping for, and it’s definitely not the celebratory title that the franchise deserves, but it is nonetheless a solid entry in the long-running franchise and a worthwhile pickup if you’re craving some more Naruto-themed arena-fighter action, provided your expectations don’t go beyond that.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf interview

In a recent issue of Japanese magazine Nintendo Dream, key developers behind The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom discussed Ganondorf, including his depiction in the game and design. Director Hidemaro Fujibayashi and series producer Eiji Aonuma participated in the discussion.

We have our full interview translation about Ganondorf in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom below. Keep in mind that some of the comments touch on what he does in the story, so keep that in mind for spoilers.

Super Mario RPG 3 Musty Fears

Super Mario RPG doesn’t have too many side quests, but one that it does have is the 3 Musty Fears side quest in Monstro Town. One of the houses there contains nothing but a bed – turn the mushroom light off and hop into the bed to start this quest. Three undead characters will each place an invisible flag somewhere around the world, and it’s your job to find that flag based on the hints they give. If you don’t feel like figuring it out yourself, we’ve put together a brief list of all three flag locations and the reward you’ll receive for finding them all.
