It’s that time of year again. Companies are beginning to report their results for the latest financial period, including Nintendo. The Big N shared its results for the nine month period ended December 31, 2017.
Team Cherry unveils third free content pack for Hollow Knight, first off-screen Switch footage

Team Cherry posted a significant blog update about Hollow Knight. Not only was the game’s third free content pack unveiled, but there’s also some news about Switch.
Gods & Glory is Hollow Knight’s next content pack. It’ll feature a new character and quests, new boss fights, a new game mode, new music, and more. This will be out on all platforms following the Switch release.
Speaking of Switch, Team Cherry posted a video showing the first off-screen video of the game running on Nintendo’s system. You can find that below, along with more details about Gods & Glory.

Fire Emblem Heroes – Feh Channel live stream, live blog (1/30/18)

In just a short while the latest Feh Channel broadcast for Fire Emblem Heroes will be kicking off. Nintendo will be starting the presentation at 7:30 PM PT / 10:30 PM ET / 3:30 AM in the UK / 4:30 AM in Europe.

Gabe Newell apparently met with Nintendo about a joint project several years ago that never moved forward

A few days ago, Valve News Network hosted a live stream with Grey Newell, the son of Valve boss Gabe Newell. Grey ended up sharing an interesting tidbit about Nintendo during the event.
Apparently, many years ago, Valve’s founder visited Japan and met with Nintendo about a joint venture “that ended up not happening.” Grey also said he played Super Mario Galaxy with Shigeru Miyamoto.
This Is the Police 2 announced, coming to Switch

This Is the Police made it to Switch towards the end of last year. Today, THQ Nordic and Weappy Studio announced a sequel, and it’s coming to Switch.

Fire Emblem Heroes – new Feh Channel broadcast announced for tomorrow

A new Feh Channel broadcast will air for Fire Emblem Heroes tomorrow, Nintendo has announced. The presentation will be held at the following times:
– 7:30 PM PT (January 30)
– 10:30 PM ET (January 30)
– 3:30 AM in the UK (January 31)
– 4:30 AM in Europe (January 31)
Nintendo says that the new Feh Channel broadcast will last about 15 minutes. You’ll be able to watch it via the embed below.

Project Octopath Traveler demo surpasses one million downloads, over 45,500 survey responses; new video shows improvements

Square Enix has announced that the Project Octopath Traveler demo has been downloaded over one million times. Additionally, the survey has recorded more than 45,000 responses.
Today, Square Enix released a brand new video for Project Octopath Traveler in which the developers explain how the game has been improved. These include a fast travel option, graphical adjustments, a radar, UI changes, a skip function for event scenes, and more. We have the full video below.

Eiji Aonuma says Breath of the Wild may have been the most enjoyable Zelda game to work on

Eiji Aonuma has been involved with the Zelda series for many, many years. Yet out of all of the games he’s contributed to, Breath of the Wild may have been the most enjoyable one to work on.
Aonuma spoke extensively about the process of making Breath of the Wild in the latest issue of Game Informer. The reason why development was so enjoyable was due to the staff working on the game. Aonuma said that the team “took so much initiative, and were always looking at everything in the game with this eye to improve.” Even though Aonuma was worried about how Breath of the Wild would turn out, that feeling started to fade as he saw the staff put Breath of the Wild together.
