We only just received a major Pokemon release on Switch with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl back in November, but another major title has now arrived with Pokemon Legends: Arceus. This is the latest project from Game Freak, the developer of the mainline Pokemon titles. The company has been tinkering away on Arceus while ILCA made Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
While the launch of Pokemon Legends: Arceus only took place yesterday, it’s likely that a number of you picked up the game and have played a number of hours already. If you’ve played it at all, what are your thoughts thus far? Let us know in the comments below.

[Let’s Talk] Your favorite Kirby game

2022 is no doubt a big year for Kirby. The series is turning 30 years old, and Nintendo and HAL Laboratory will be celebrating the milestone. One thing that we know is happening this year is Kirby and the Forgotten Land, which launches for Switch on March 25.
For this week’s Let’s Talk topic, we want to hear about your favorite Kirby game. The character has been around since the Game Boy days back back in 1992 and there have been a truckload of releases since then across Nintendo’s various systems. [Let’s Talk] Hopes for Pokemon Legends: Arceus

It’s a bit unprecedented to see major Pokemon games release so quickly after each other, but that’s exactly where we are now. Even though Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl launched less than two months ago, we’ll be getting Pokemon Legends: Arceus at the end of January.
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were remakes of DS games. On the other hand, Arceus is a brand new experience from the main Pokemon developer at Game Freak. Many have compared it to a Zelda: Breath of the Wild-like take on Pokemon, though we know it won’t be open world. Still, the game has shown promise and many fans are interested in seeing how the whole thing turns out.
With the launch of Pokemon Legends: Arceus only a few weeks away, we want to know how you’re feeling about the game thus far. What are your hopes and expectations? Will you be picking it up later this month? Let us know in the comments below.

A new month (and a new year!) started up today. Now that we’re in January, we want to know what you’ve been playing.
Things have slowed down a bit in terms of new releases, but there’s still plenty to play. In December alone we saw the likes of Danganronpa Decadence, Life is Strange: True Colors, Sam and Max Beyond Time and Space, Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, Loop Hero, Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, and more.

2022 is almost here, so let’s take a moment to reflect on the coming year – especially concerning Nintendo.
We’re actually in a much different place this time around compared to the start of 2021. We really didn’t have a good idea as to what Nintendo was planning for the year in terms of Switch releases. A few games were known entities, but a lot hadn’t been revealed until the year started moving along.
[Let’s Talk] Indie World Showcase December 2021 reactions

2021 is almost over, but Nintendo decided to end the year with one last presentation – that being this week’s Indie World Showcase. Fans were again treated to looks at upcoming indie games for Switch.
As is standard for Indie World Showcases, we saw some shadowdrops. Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Dungeon Munchies, Let’s Play! Oink Games, and Timelie were all announced for Switch and immediately released. Some other notable news included the official announcement for Sea of Stars on Switch, Don’t Starve Together, and OMORI being reconfirmed for the system with a Spring 2022 launch window. [Let’s Talk] The Game Awards 2021 reaction

The Game Awards 2021 are in the books, and you could say that it was an interesting show. Many were expecting Nintendo to drop at least one piece of news, but it turns out that the company didn’t have anything to share at all. The only other year that’s happened was in 2015, so it’s certainly a rare occurrence.
Despite Nintendo’s absence, there was a good amount of Switch news. SEGA showed off Sonic Frontiers, Cuphead – The Delicious Last Course finally remerged with a new trailer and release date, and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax was announced for Switch. That wasn’t everything as there were new glimpses as titles like The Lord of the Rings: Gollum.

We’ve seen a number of big releases over the past month or so, including Pokemon Brilliant Diamond / Shining Pearl, Shin Megami Tensei V, Blue Reflection: Second Light, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and Death’s Door. There have even been things like the Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise DLC and Game & Watch: The Legend of Zelda.

[Let’s Talk] The Game Awards 2021 hopes and dreams

Each year at The Game Awards, Nintendo typically has something to reveal. Some pretty big news and announcements have come from the show over the years, whether it’s been a first in-game look at Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Bayonetta 3, or Sephiroth in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The number of announcements tend to vary, but we’d be shocked if Nintendo didn’t have anything at all planned for this year.
The Game Awards 2021 are only a couple of weeks away, with the show set to air on December 9. Is there anything you’d personally like to see Nintendo bring along? We also can’t forget about third-parties as there have been notable announcements from them as well with Mortal Kombat 11, Crash Bandicoot 4, and Ghosts ‘n Goblins Resurrection as just a few examples.
