These games are RPGs originally released on PC-Engine (known as the TurboGrafx-16 in the West) in 1990 and 1991 respectively. They are sci-fi space-faring adventures, notable for being some of the first games to utilize anime-style cutscenes and voice acting to portray important story moments. Cosmic Fantasy 2 was also the only title in the seven-game franchise to release outside of Japan, making its way to North America in 1992.

Following its announcement yesterday, Bandai Namco has shared more details for Tales of Symphonia Remastered, their upcoming rerelease of the GameCube classic. Most notably, they’ve opened a website for the game, which provides some new information on how the game will run.

On Switch, Tales of Symphonia Remastered will run at 1080p docked and 720p in handheld mode, which isn’t too surprising. Slightly more interesting is that the game will run at 30 FPS across all platforms. While this makes a relative amount of sense for the Switch, it’s somewhat surprising that other platform versions won’t run at a higher frame-rate.
