Splatoon 2: Version update to 2.3.0 coming tomorrow, February 28

Splatoon 2 is getting another version update. The patch bringing the game to version 2.3.0 will be available tomorrow at 10 AM JST. As per usual, this patch will bring with several balance changes to weapons, sub-weapons and specials. Currently the patch notes are only available in Japanese; we will update this post once we have a translation of them.

The Switch has reached one million units sold in France

Over the last year, we’ve reported repeatedly on the Switch’s sales success in France, most recently last month when Nintendo of France General Manager Philippe Lavoué revealed that the Switch had sold over 900,000 units in France in 2017. He also said that he expected that number to rise to one million by the end of February.
It turns out that his expectations were right on the money – Lavoué recently spoke with French newspaper Le Figaro and revealed that the Switch has indeed broken through the one million barrier in France alone as of last week.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2: official soundtrack releasing in Japan on May 23rd

The latest “Production Notes” behind the scenes look at the development of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is all about the game’s soundtrack. More importantly, however, is the fact that main composer Yasunori Mitsuda revealed that the full official soundtrack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be released in Japan on May 23rd this year. The soundtrack will be released in three different versions:
Netflix on Wii U has received an update

While many people are likely still waiting for the popular streaming app to appear on the Switch, Netflix has been available on the Wii U for years. Today, the app received an update, which should download automatically. There are no documented patch notes so it’s not fully clear what this update changes, though it’s likely nothing major. Anyway, it’s good to see that Netflix is still supporting their app on Wii U for those who still use Nintendo’s previous home console as their streaming device of choice.

Bandai Namco has published a trailer for the Extra Pack 2 DLC for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, titled Infinite History. This DLC pack adds several new characters plus a new story scenario.
BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle – games modes revealed + new main visual

Arc System Works has published the main visual for BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle, which you can see above. Aditionally, they have revealed several of the game’s modes:
Episode Mode
Essentially the game’s story mode. An original story centered on the “Phantom Field”, a point where the worlds from the four works represented in the game collide.
Tactics Mode
Experience Cross Tag Battle’s unique mechanics and learn new techniques.
Survival Mode
Defeat as many fighters as you can in a row.
Training Mode
Get to know the various characters and their moves.
Gallery Mode
View special illustrations, artwork and movies.
Replay Theater
Watch saved replays of fights.
Valkyria Chronicles 4: Federation character trailer #2

Splatoon 2: Luna Blaster Neo being added to the game soon

It’s the end of the week, which means another weapon addition to Splatoon 2’s arsenal. This time, it’s the Luna Blaster Neo, which is identical to the regular Luna Blaster in terms of stats, but comes with the Ink Mine sub-weapon and the Suction Bomb Launcher special instead. It’ll be available in-game tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later tonight in North America.
