Wii U update out now (version 5.5.6), patch notes

As a small heads up to Wii U owners, Nintendo has just started distribution of a new 5.5.6 firmware update. This goes in line with the version 11.16.0-48 update that also went live on 3DS today.
According to Nintendo’s patch notes, Wii U’s latest firmware involves the following: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.” If you read the patch notes for today’s 3DS update, what’s stated here should look very familiar.

Nintendo has just released a new firmware update for all 3DS systems, with owners now having access to version 11.16.0-48. Unsurprisingly, there’s not a whole lot here.
Nintendo’s official patch notes state: “Further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience.”

JRPGs Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood revealed, from key creators of Wild Arms series and Shadow Hearts

Original (8/26): The key creators behind the Wild Arms series and Shadow Hearts series have just announced a “Double Kickstarter” campaign intended to bring Armed Fantasia and Penny Blood to life. These are two new, large scale JRPGs inspired by their previous games.
Armed Fantasia features a dramatic story about a group of Pathfinders and their trusted ARMs who embark on a perilous journey across an expansive Westernpunk world hurtling towards destruction. Akifumi Kaneko, creator of the Wild Arms series, will be in charge of lead game design and scenario writing. Tomomi Sasaki is handling character design. Lastly, music is planned to be made by Michiko Naruke, Noriyasu Uematsu and Elements Garden, also veterans of the Wild Arms series.

Resident Evil 4 has earned a ton of acclaim over the years, but it was apparently Super Smash Bros. director Masahiro Sakurai who was the first to praise the game’s camera.
That news came about during a discussion with Shinji Mikami and Jun Takeuchi. Mikami was the original director of Resident Evil 4 while Takeuchi has worked on several different entries in the series.
