Gunborg: Dark Matters gameplay

In a blog post this week, Yacht Club Games provided a breakdown of sales for its various games, including a couple of more recent releases – Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon and Cyber Shadow.

Since launch, Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon has sold a bit over 35,000 units across all platforms. Going into more of the details, first week sales came in at just under 20,000 units while first month sales were just over 30,000.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has new DLC on the way in the form of its upcoming Booster Course Pass. Over the next couple of years, fans can look forward to nearly 50 tracks that have been remastered from past titles.

Card Warriors Dragon Ball Z Kakarot Switch

It took a bit longer than expected, but Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot + A New Power Awakens Set has finally gained Card Warriors on Switch.

Bandai Namco originally put the game on Nintendo’s console last September. Card Warriors was originally planned for Switch last fall, but the extra mode was pushed back. Bandai Namco cited “an adjustment of the development schedule” for the delay.

Douglas Tronsgard Next Level Games retiring

Douglas Tronsgard has announced that he’s retiring from Next Level Games and the industry as a whole.

Up until now, Tronsgard has been acting as the company’s president. He was also a co-founder and the developer’s CEO, though he stepped down from that position last year.

Paradise Killer update

Following its release in 2020, publisher Fellow Traveller and developer Kaizen Game Works have announced a free content update for Paradise Killer. It will go live on March 17, 2022.

The patch will include new music, mysterious new beings, quests, rewards, and collectables. General performance enhancements are also planned.

Triangle Strategy update 1.0.2

For those that are picking up Triangle Strategy today, keep in mind that there’s a day one update for the game with Nintendo and Square Enix distributing version 1.0.2. This is available to everyone now.

According to the patch notes, “Several issues have been addressed to improve the gameplay experience.” Nintendo hasn’t shared any information beyond that, though it goes without saying that you’ll want to have version 1.0.2 installed.

Sally Face physical

Super Rare Games, in partnership with Portal Moose, today announced a physical release for Sally Face on Switch. The horror point-and-click adventure game will have three different versions.

The first version is the standard edition with all the current content on its cart, a full-color manual, interior artwork, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. The Steelbook Edition takes things a step further by adding a postcard and a slipcover. Finally, the Collector’s Edition features an embroidered Sally Face patch, a Super Gear Boy pin, a soundtrack CD, 6 polaroid photos, and an A3 poster. Super Rare Games will produce 3,000 standard copies, 500 Steelbook Editions, and 1,500 Collector’s Editions.
