BloodRayne Revamped trailer

Ziggurat Interactive, Big Boat Interactive, and WayForward have issued the first trailer for BloodRayne: ReVamped and BloodRayne 2: ReVamped. Both titles are returning from the early 2000s.

Popeye Switch gameplay

After it was only revealed just a few days ago, Popeye has already made it to Switch and some extensive gameplay is now available. You can check out a little over 20 minutes of footage in the newly-published video.

Metroid Dread review

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top 15 European eShop downloads for October 2021.

Metroid Dread and Mario Party Superstars were two of the biggest games of the month, and they make up the first couple of entries at #1 and #2 respectively. After it took the top spot in September, Diablo II: Resurrected manages to hold on at #5.

Deathsmiles I & II physical

Strictly Limited Games, in partnership with City Connection, has announced that Deathsmiles I & II is coming west on Switch and physical versions are in the works. These shoot ’em up titles will be offered in boxed format with a Limited Edition and Collector’s Edition.

The Limited Edition has a copy of the game and a manual comes with a manual for €49.99. 2,800 copies will be made on Switch in total.

Phoenotopia physical

Premium Edition Games has announced three more physical releases – specifically Phoenotopia Awakening, Mighty Fight Federation, and Cathedral. Each one will have a standard release and Retro Edition.

Pikmin Bloom Community Day

Much like Pokemon GO, Niantic will be holding Community Days in Pikmin Bloom. The company shared information about what’s planned for the debut event later this month.

First up, Pikmin seedlings in your planter pack will grow at roughly 1.5x the usual speed. Niantic is also planning for fruits to provide twice the usual amount of nectar. Additionally, those who walk 10,000 steps or more will be awarded a special “Community Day Participant” badge. And last but not least, big Flowers will bloom into pansies.

shin megami tensei Kodama

Atlus is back with another demon trailer for Shin Megami Tensei V, with the latest update offering up a new look at the creature known as Kodama. It actually hasn’t had too many appearances in the franchise, as it first showed up in Shin Megami Tensei III. It did have an appearance in Persona 5 as well.

Over on the Megami Tensei Wiki, the site provides a tiny bit of background information on Kodama. Continue on below for some extra information about the demon.

While it’s not much of a surprise, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has confirmed that Nintendo will continue pursuing the idea of integrated hardware-software products. In other words, we’ll be seeing something in the future that follows the Switch.

Furukawa spoke about Nintendo’s future outlook during a financial results briefing, also stressing the importance of Nintendo Accounts and using them to “maintain a positive, lasting relationship with consumers”.

Over 32 million members have subscribed to Nintendo Switch Online, Nintendo has confirmed. President Shuntaro Furukawa delivered that news during a financial results briefing today.

Additionally, Furukawa reiterated that the company “will continue to improve and expand both Nintendo Switch Online and Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, striving to provide services that satisfy consumers.”

During a financial results briefing, Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa discussed plans to continue growing Switch as the console heads into its sixth year.

Furukawa stated out by highlighting the different ways that the system can be played before talking about the OLED model, which is doing well so far. Some are replacing their older devices while others are jumping in for the first time. Finally, Nintendo will be releasing big games in 2022 such as Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. Switch has also seen an all-time high for third-party games on a Nintendo platform as there are over 6,700 games from these publishers through September 2021.
